Stuck

So I decided I wanted to fly to a moon planet. All is ok right? Well, no. I didn't bring enough fuel to the planet, left my crafting supplies on my planet (that was stupid of me), and I can only find one patch of fuel on the moon and thats not enough to refuel the ship. I really should have thought this through first but either way is there any way I can get back to my planet. I really hope I can though as this is my best character.

 

Thanks. I didn't try that at first because last time I pressed teleport home was on a different character and I had problems with infinite teleporting

 

If you forgot to set a home planet the other alternative would be to log on to a multiplayer server, since you will start on a different planet and most likely can just type in a command to get fuel.

 

Aw, this is a good chance for fun, you could have organized a rescue mission with another character.

 

If you have other characters, you can ahve another character farm up a bunch of fuel, then travel to the same moon planet and leave the fuel in a crate or chest at the spawn point. Then, pick it up with your first character.

 

Oh, such helpful people here! I was going to suggest hunkering down for a long, cold, lonely existence, where you stare out into the bleakness of the vast vacuum of space, probably never to see another living creature again, perhaps dying from malnutrition and eventual starvation after drinking your own urine and resorting to gnawing at your boots for sustenance. But the folks here at Starbound are an optimistic lot, and usually steer the wayward space-faring souls into the right direction.

 

Should we have said that his situation proves that Starbound is......mooning him?

 

Well, I would choose one of the above two options as they add immense fun value and an opportunity to feel invested in your characters.
Now, another option that seems popular is:
1)Ragequit
2)Downvote the game on steam
3)Set the forums a-flame!
4)profit.

 

Or go to the server, and get fuel, instead of cheating like a filthy cheater.

 

you can also make coal with "cooking" wood , so keep some seed/dirt or wood in your inventory (ive always some seed)

 

Many servers have the spawn planet locked due to people griefing the spawn points and you can't harvest fuel there...
