Closed Stuck on the new loading screen after the V. Irritated Koala update

I first set up the server for me and my friends. then when i go load the game it gets stuck on the loading screen after the cuddlefish logo.

Pls help

 

I have the same issue, except I don't set up any servers and just play singleplayer on my PC.
It's just as you described. The Chucklefish logo comes up, then the "Loading" screen appears and it remains there forever, unless I close the game window.
I had no problems with the Chucklefish logo crash before the update, but now I just can't play the game at all.

 

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me.

 

same thing. Also had a disk read error from steam and had to restart for that.

Edit: A complete re-install fixed it for me.

 

Guys, I did a integrity check on steam and it redownloaded about 100mb worth of data. The game runs fine after that!

 

Same problem here, on single player.
Didnt get fixed however after doing the steam file integrity check.

 

I've Just bought and downloaded the game and also getting this problem. Also getting an Access Violation error. have checked the integrity of the files. hasn't helped.

A reinstall did not help at all. still get an error and game doesnt load.

Same thing...verifying integrity right now. Seems like the main focus should be on optimizing resource loading at this point....takes about 5 minutes to load the game and freezes frequenty while loading new world for me.

Reinstallation worked! Best thing to do...

 

I tried that, made no difference for me

 

Make sure you do the following 3 things:
- run all .exe in admin mode.
- integrity check
- reboot your computer.

 

I thought I had the same problem but I left it for about 5 minutes and it suddenly worked! Don't know if this is just me but hope it helped.

 

Ugh! It was working fine two days ago. There wasn't even an update two days ago! But for whatever reason, running in admin, re-installing, verifying, nothing worked! I'm so fed up. I love the game but I can't play it anymore! I've even let it run for over half an hour, still no getting past that dreaded LOADING screen.
