Important Stretch Goal Thoughts -- Pets?

Wish I could change my vote to no
After thinking about it and discussing this goal with my friends I decided I would have voted no.
Oh well....

 

then please, tell me. What kinds of stretch goals can you think of that would be better.

 

im talking about the majority I see actually replying on this thread. I can obviously see the majority is yes

"It looks like the next stretch goal will be pets" I obviously can see the majority is yes

 

Yes pets would be cool. I however don't want useless pets. Pets should be able to help in some way or there is no use for them.

 

So then i will wait longer for a game thats may even better.. Where is the problem in this? Do you gonna die in a few month so your not able to wait a bit more to have an more awesome game?

Here's an idea, let's have them push the game back ANOTHER year, then we can have that Gene thing and a super in-depth Pokémon system.

 

More people voted yes than no, Yes has about 2x more votes than no. Still not enough to be the true majority. It's about 2/3. So technically under the North American Constitutional Democracy, it would be the majority.

THAT'S WHY I refuse this Idea, even if they promise it wont be delayed, their time may be better spent: there are already Simple Suggestions as Fishing (since there are already boats), where we can be with our Friends having a chat, fishing, and even possible to be able to fish some rare Items! It's Social and Fun. And I ask me, Why not that instead of this?!

The game is already awesome enough. I would rather play it before 2014. Be happy they are giving us stretch goals anyway.

I think without further clarification of what the pets would do or be for, (if they're just going to be a little critter that follows you around and doesn't really do anything) most people seem to be against it.

if you can implement it in some cool way where they're useful if you choose to use them (some people don't want them), then i'm all for it. Otherwise, it might be best to do something else.

 

It would be good if we could have arena for pets and stuff. to make them evolve some how

 

I'm just going to parrot a lot of earlier comments. I'm not against pets. But I don't want them either. I am completely pet-neutral, I probably won't use them but also won't care that they're in.

That said, do I think they're worth a stretch goal? I have no idea because I have no authority to determine what is and isn't good enough for a stretch goal. I paid for a 4-pack and beta access, I'm (hopefully) getting that at some point down the line, the stretch goals are just a bonus and anything's fine as long as it doesn't delay release or ruin the game in some way. I still voted no because it's not a feature I want but that does not mean I want a "better" feature instead, I just honestly don't care. The poll should have had an option "No more stretch goals but beta access like right now"

 

Starter Pets are ok, but they should be practical & do something useful even if it's just something small like being able to go fetch dropped loot that dropped out of reach of your Character who doesn't have a fat lotta good tools to work with yet.

Pets that just sit there & don't do anything useful are pointless.

 

Argument not invalid. I'm just saying asking for anything more than what they already have planned for the pet system would be futile

 

And even if that would just mean more awesomeness
