Important Stretch Goal Thoughts -- Pets?

Just implement a non-combat button for the normal pets and its done. So why need extra starter pets who can´t fight and are only there to look good...

 

I would love some starter pets. Or at least a choice from your background. Starter pet, some piece of tech, or some weapon! Would be a good way to start it out ;D I SAY YAY FOR STARTER PETS.

 

It's like 66% it's some "big Majority". There are Suggestions in this Forum with 98% approval rate.

This is controversial enough for DEVs think twice after Add it as a Goal, not saying it should be not in-game, just not as a Goal.

 

I really don't want to see useless features being added to the game, is having a pet worth it? or is it just there for the sake of being there

 

Some piece of tech YAY! some weapon YAY! a nonsense pet that can´t fight and is only following you for vanity NAY!

Well maybe you are right you should be able to damage the creatures you want to capture/tame yourself I didn't think much about that part before posting.
And I think with that much creatures like the game can create there is pretty much no need for evolution.
But i'd really like to see some sort of training. Not quite sure how I'd like it to work. Maybe there are abilities based on the parts the creature was generated of, which you could unlock.

if there is already the pokemon system (yolo thats what im calling it) why the bloody hell should they add useless pets? if the monsters are being randomly generated as we speak, and there are over a million different outcomes, that means we have THOSANDS of pets to pick from why add more? and if its just "starter pets" than give us a week mob to use... like a slime or a plant for florans

I think there are lots of better things they can add, like items to play minigames, like CTF objects.

actually, reply to this if you think instead of pets they should have minigame objects, for example CTF or Oddball (halo references FTW)

 

Why the hell would people want this as the 3rd stretch goal?

 

Once again I say gene splicing on creatures, especially with this Fossil update and DNA and the sort. Being able to collect different samples and tamper with them would be awesome, even if it was only for an XCOM type touch, to add to an assortment of buffs against different races, even if it isn't being able to gene splice necessarily.

Though it doesn't really matter much. They'll probably re-evaluate based on ideas more than on votes.

 

That is something you cannot prove without resetting the poll, which would distort the results via people who thought it was the same poll or weren't bothered to vote again. Basically, you're grasping at straws dude. It's not like it would be the worst thing in the world if it got implemented.

Then they are like ohhhh that was already an anounced feature.

 

Because some Vanity Cute things that only follows us around aren't worthy for what Starbound is about to Reach.

THESE ARE JUST USELESS STARTING PETS IN COMPARISON

It annoys me how most people voting do not realize this
