Yeah these lists are more opinion to me and less objective reasoning, and I will agree that all characters can be mastered/item up to a point where they can handle anything.
I beat the game on my first two sniper attempts so I used to consider her(him?) pretty OP.

I just got the 'get to level 10' Miner achievement (last one I needed before 100%) and can safely say hes not bad. Reminds me of Dragon's Crown's Dwarf - a little mobile bullet of damage.
Crush seems amazing to me; it doesn't move you forward, doesn't have a limit on how many can be hit with one swipe, and has some fairly forgiving range.
That being said I do not like the feel of Drill Punch and Back Blast, even if it's not that hard to chain the two together (DP then turn around and Back Blast)
The push on Drill Punch and the delay after the use of Back Blast makes him feel awkward compared to the slickness that is Mercenary.

      Dwagon and Rawrquaza like this.

I got a good run as Enforcer today, and I can say he isn't as bad as I originally thought. He still has a horrible deal when his shield fails (and missile elites can always bypass it - something to look out for, especially in Monsoon), but with some attack speed he can become a monster. Of course, my ~5 drones didn't hurt either...

if you get concussion grenades and a soldier's syringe or two on Enforcer, it's pretty much impossible to get behind him.

Well I just unlocked the Acrid, and manged to finish the game on normal with him on my second go.
I can honestly say every character so far is trash compared to him. His kiting and aoe damage is just obscene .
I'm only looking to get the Huntress right now, and only have 4 monster logs to go.

Has anyone made a thread on how to combo the 4 moves together on every character? The main reason I can only play well with a few of the characters is because I'm terrible at linking the moves together, so I end up using only Acrid, Huntress, Miner and Commando most of the time, and I'm not even sure if I'm playing them correctly.

As much as I hate to say it, because the Sniper is my favorite character, I agree that he belongs in Tier 5. What Tier d'you think he'd be in if he had that SmokeScreen I keep talking about?

By the way, you should mention that the Miner's Z attack is not only strong, it doesn't make him budge forward like other characters (Acrid and Mercenary come to mind). This can be strategically advantageous, like if you're swatting at an enemy from a slightly higher platform they can't ascend, or if you're swatting an enemy across a short hole they can't jump over. And even in-general. Being budged forward when you attack is just annoying and affords you no benefits, and can often either put you in danger, or suddenly put your attack out of range (by suddenly being behind your enemy).

I can't say for certain what tier he'd be in with your suggestions, because this is mostly based off of playing the characters. I'd have to see it in game to judge it.

A fair point. I'm interested to see why Han-D ended up in Tier-5, too. He seemed pretty strong, t'me.

He's pretty strong. It's mainly that once enemies start not caring about knockback, he gets overwhelmed really really fast, especially if you haven't found certain items on him. His item reliancy is what really landed him there. Despite his heals, he needs things to help with his movement and attack speed. Han-D is my 3rd most used character, so I know very well that the game can become hell for him at stages 3 and up, moreso than most of the other characters. Also, he's so bad at fighting the final boss, like oh my god, that's one of his main weaknesses, especially because this list is focused around scaling characters on their ability to complete the game.

OH GOD THE FINAL BOSS. I played Han-D ONCE and face-tanked every other part of the game quite... "handily".

But then that final boss... if I'd had a heal item like Leech Seed or Forbidden Fruits I might've had a chance... Ironically, it was the blue worm, not the red one, that got me...

Han-D's problem is that he has a mechanic that relies on monster death to function, which for the most part isn't THAT bad.

But it really starts to show when a heap of elites spawn and reduce you to 30% in a burst, leaving you to scramble and scrape for that kill that gets you started.

I still have to disagree with Han-D being bottom-tier honestly. He definitely struggles with the last boss, but not as much so as the sniper, or even the Miner in many ways. Rather humorously, the last boss IS vulnerable to Forced Reassembly, letting you knock him up and avoiding attacks now and then. His shadow copies can even be killed for some extra healing on drones.

I think the big line between decent Han-D play and good Han-D play is getting a handle on dodging effectively on him while keeping your assault up. While he doesn't benefit in the same way by jump-attacking as other melee characters, attacking with him while planted on the ground is almost never a good idea. Taking your swings while in midair lets you move around a bit more while attacking, mitigating the number of missiles you eat and getting you into position to make your hammers count a bit better. Not trying to imply you don't already know this of course, but he's just by far my most successful character consistently and I do not fancy myself as an expert or really even good at the game or the character, so seeing him placed in the same bracket as the sniper makes me scratch my head.

Getting attack speed and goat hooves definitely helps shore up his weaknesses, but I really don't consider him unplayable by any stretch in the later stages without them. Han-D can skate by with a bare minimum of items on his extremely high natural health and powerful stunlock capabilities, in my experience.

HAN_D is not bad but he is hard to play with, compared to other classes

The final boss with the miner was definitely my 2nd easiest melee experience with it, behind the Merc, so I'm really not sure where the Miner struggles with that fight. You can pretty much avoid all damage by flopping around with your dodge frames. Even though Han-D can utilize Forced Reassembly to knock Providence into the air, the cooldown on it isn't short enough to reliably keep Providence off of you and the drones his clone gives you are not going to make up for how much damage you'll take. I love Han-D, I really do, but beating the final boss with him was an intense, yet incredibly frustrating experience. And Han-D is still listed as being better than the Sniper on the list, 5.1 comes above 5.2.

I understand your points with the Bandit, and I wish I could say I agree, because me reason for not agreeing is strange. I have the highest win rate in the game for him because his stealth allows the first 3 levels to take your time to get items, but the reason I disagree is because you say you're dead if you miss his V. I never use his V, like, literally ever, and I find him the 2nd strongest class. I don't know why, but I just find it a waste of time, I've only ever a few times been in sticky situations with my stealth's cooldown, but I just jump around like a mad man, and then stealth, stand still for fungus to heal me, and back in it. I wish his V would lower items by, like, 10 if he killed an enemy as well. That'd make it a worthwhile ability for me. I have very weird but strangely effective playstyles of certain classes that not many do, so don't feel left out if you're confused by my crazy strategies :sneaky:

I haven't unlocked all the characters yet, but from what I've played here's my own tier list:
1)Great: Can finish the game relatively easy with a wide variety of items.
                                    -Acrid
2)Good: Can easily get through the first levels, but need a few good items to finish the game easily
                                    -Commando
                                    -Engineer
3)Average : NEED some good items to even stand a chance in the later levels.
                                    -Bandit
                                    -Enforcer
4)Bad: Unless you cheese the game with early infusion, mass drones, or REALLY good items, you have your work cut out for you.
                                    -Sniper

When doing Miner, I typically prefer to Drill Punch, jump and To The Stars, followed by Back Blast to carry me back to my starting position and using his Crush to mop up.
