Storage organizing(linking crates/chests/etc)

It would be great if linking storage places would be possible either way by placing containers in a particular pattern or by wiring them together / to some special "controller" item.
It's hard to organize big storage just with multiple small ones(especially for someone with "intergalactic demolition squad" syndrome...)

It would be nice if there were some containers that were larger at least, maybe allow some objects to be crafted into better versions with more space?

 

I actually like the idea. Anything to make inventory more easily manageable.

 

balancewise it could be a bad idea(well upgrading just main ship storage could be interesting in this case).
current capacity is enough, but loot management can turn into nightmare in cases similar to mine...

 

Containers with larger capacity could be balanced by making them, well, larger. For example, if you want a hundred slots of storage, be prepared to find the space for a dumpster.
