finally! a truely useful companion! why haven't the skyrim devs reliased that this is how we precieve anyone on our team.
wait the ability to sort our hard earned gear in a way that allows us to actually locate it is OP?.... --- wat.
the initial idea has little to do with it, but would have the resources, such as engines for vehicles, and wheels for the types of land, turbines to fly. then you would edit the vehicle as if you were building a house in terraria. you add it to the NPC weapons, bulldozers, mechanical arms. Using the theory of "Yellow system" that I created. in post. Exploration of survival, and food . Finally have a vehicle large and covers fly to another planet. taking all kinds of resources, and creatures.
if you have to go back to your base first and then put the stuff in your sorting machine then it isn't OP, BUT if you teleport your stuff to the sorting machine would be OP and too easy to play. Also that mimic i am suggesting could carry your stuff to the base, but wouldn't return to you because it would again, be to easy. Instead when he carries your stuff back he stays there and can be used again when you come back to your base and take him with you.
so... you want to make extra redundant trips every 10-12 minutes while on a planets surface/underground to go back to your ship? I did not mean just having the ability to teleport it anywhere on the planet...
why? in terraria it takes me 10-12 mins to filll my inventory while caving without the mimic. And with it i would take like 20-22 mins to fill my inventory, send it to my base and fill it again.
In a game where you can find nigh-infinite amounts of "rad swag", having a limited storage system may not be the best idea. I'm in favor of the "infinite storage on the space station, chests for on-planet" side of this, which won't make you feel limited on what you can have, but also make you consider what you should/shouldn't bring with you on planet exploration missions.
I have no idea what your talking about, but it seems to have little relevance to this thread though. also please don't premote your own thread here as well, and stop using bold and colourful text as it is very distracting to those reading it or other post. on topic: maybe an accessory or a piece of clothing could expand your inventory space. the magic mirror in terraria was a useful tool to return to your base after a long mining trip, so I hope they have something similar for starbound aswell.
I agree! but in practice: build a mini vehicle, the lower base that fit two characters standing, put the object metal legs, or tires, he follows me. in place of a character put the sorting machine. when my inventory is full, I throw to machine that sucks.
I would like limited size chests with the ability to see their content when you roll your mouse over them (only for your own chests obviously) but very high stacks size (like 99999 stone blocks for example). Maximum stack sizes could be lower in basic inventory if necessary.
Only space station chests or space station / bases ones are both ok with me. Cargo computer sounds like only one chest, I wouldn't go for that. Would be horrible to browse after a while, even with tabs. Oops your quote is different from my text, I was probably still editing while you quoted.
I like #1, it seems more organized. In Terraria I hated the fact that you had to do all these codes in order to lock your chest (or use a piggy bank). There was never enough room for all my materials so I ended up burning it all.. I want a type of locker that has the ability to lock easily and is categorized. For example, it could have one section for materials, weapons/ armor, and miscellaneous.
Yeah it would seem so, I tend to reply quickly when actively watching the forum. However having the space station have a huge inventory with a search function or something along those lines, alongside normal chests and storages planetside makes sense. especially considering the devs have stated all complex crafting, research, and animal training will happen stationside.
Indeed, lockable containers would be a nice addition to the game, likely it would be a fingerprint lock or something hand-wavey like that to explain why only one person can access it without passwords or something.
As a complementary feature to chests that sounds good. I'd prefer if it could only browse material from the space station though, being able to teleport the content of your chests from your planetary bases to your space station seems kinda far-fetched.
I think you should have unlimited storage in you Space Station, with chests, and a variety of other storage. For extra storage on the go see the customize everything link in my signature and just put chests on one of the ships that you customize.
