Closed still stuck at loading screen Update v. Indignant Koala 11/12/2013

it's suppose to be about loading screen not errors

 

If something did error that caused it to hang, it might have shown up there. However, it appears that's not the case.

 

thefre usualy is no error from it being stuck at loading screen i was just mentioning how after hours an error appeared but this also happened when unrelated issue i was playing fine an error appeared after a few hours

it's a coincidence it happened at the same time

 

i reinstalled starbound and have been waiting at the loading screen for hours

 

I have this same issue, although I was able to play after the patch and my copy of the game has only developed this issue today.

I've restarted Steam, restarted computer, validated cache, restarted steam, uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted steam, validated cache, restarted computer. (pretty much in that order )

No luck and no fun.

 

OK, I fixed my problem.

I reinstalled again, except this time I went into my steamapps folder and made sure the Starbound dir was completely deleted. I noticed it only left the universe and player data behind, so alternatively you could just try deleting the contents of the universe and player folders and see if that works.

 

Ok i am doing that now and hoping it works again!

 

Guys, make a back up folder of your characters, and deleting the original one in the star bound folder. Then restart the game, have it fully load. quit the game, reload in your original character save problems. This worked for a lot of people

 

My issue seems to of resolved itself and other then making the mistake of abandoning a main quest on my first character everything's been great and from all the streams I watch this game looks like it will be amazingly fun to play with friends.
