After the patch tonight... No luck.... Same errors with slightly different numbers.... Not happy at all......

I get this error when launching normally.

I get this error when launching using the "open gl" option.

Update your directx version, if it is out of date, also the opengl version won't ever work for you since your hardware doesn't support it.

Edit: you may also want to update your VGA (graphics) drivers to the latest available. Who knows maybe they have improved the OpenGL support in a driver update.

You might be missing the correct drivers, or your video card doesn't support directx
    Update the drivers.
If that doesn't work, try the opengl version

Don't mean to be rude, but did you actually read his post... the second image clearly says OpenGL is a no-go :).

I recently updated my driver. The Intel site says im up to date now if i try to update them again. Is there any way I can check if my integrated card supports Directx? And when I do the opengl version I get an error message saying "GraphicsException: OpenGL 2.0 not available" with 6 lines of number and letter combinations 8 characters in length.
Everytime i try to update Directx, it says I have it already.

Did you try uninstalling your game and re-installing. I was getting the same error after the update until I re-installed the game

I had previously used the sammy fix SDL file and removed it and verified but did not work until I re-installed the game through steam.

    Hope if works for you

If you're running steam, try right clicking the game in steam and going to settings, then Verify Game Cache

Steam found 24k errors with my game files ( after i tried a fix someone suggested in the forums that involved moving files )
and reinstalled about 1gig. After that I started up the game and it ran fine.

Tried this but had no luck.. Thanks tho :D

Here I'll post the errors I've been getting in text because the pictures aren't showing up 100% of the time.

This is the error I get when I launch normally.
GraphicsException: Could not create the Direct3d device: Creation call was invalid
    00408CA3 (C:/starbound/source/graphics/StarGraphicsCommon.hpp:8)
    00409100 (C:/starbound/source/application/StarApplicationBase.cpp:645)
    00409BFE (C:/starbound/source/application/StarApplicationBase.cpp:135)
    004079CF (C:/starbound/source/client/main.cpp:49)
    004DB381 (c:\SDL-1.2.15/./src/main/win32/SDL_win32_main.c:138)

This is what I get when launching the Open GL
    GraphicsException: OpenGL 2.0 not available!
    004D808A
    00408AE8
    00408F7C
    0040976E
    004079CF
    004D8FA1

Whats interesting is that when I go in cmd, and type dxdiag, my computer passes the Direct 3d tests.

    Any other advice? D:

Have you tried Verifying Game Cache? That worked for me :/

Crossposting your specs from the other thread, if you don't mind:
Your card *does* run DirectX 9.0c, right? The minimum requirements for graphics are for them to have a 256MB memory (which it does, judging by a cursory search) and for them to support DirectX 9.0c. Minecraft, one of the games you mentioned as reference, is a bit fuzzy on those specs, while TF2 requires DirectX 8 as a minimum.

If your card does support it, then it's probably a matter of waiting for some updates that squish them phat bugs. Otherwise, yeah, your machine might fall a wee bit short. ):

Yes, I just re-installed the game and verified the game cache and still not fixed.

Yes, that is the version of DirectX that my computer has... I hope it can be fixed without having to change hardware... I'm trying to get a new graphics card in the meantime.

Does anyone else have anything I should try?

17th Page...... Bump.... Anyone have any suggestions? Trying to get my hands on a new graphics card, but I'd like to still play in the meantime.
