Steam version has horrible fps...

    i can play starbound but everytime i sit down on pilot seat it crashes

    I wonder why people with computers so much more powerful than mine are held at 20-30 fps, while here I am sitting on my crappy Radeon HD5450 and running the game fine.

    Not really a month old FPS issue...
    But, have you been playing with mods?
    Or verify the game cache on steam. Make sure you're not missing any files as thats what tends to happen when a game want to access something that does not exist.
