Closed Steam Machine Screen Flickering

So I just tried out Starbound on my Alienware Steam Machine today (I don't care if you're not a fan). However, because of the initial launch window, it goofed stuff up. The machine didn't know whether to focus on the launch window or the game, so it constantly flickered between the two. It appears I cannot close the launch window, there's no 'X' to click on to exit it. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks!

The game should ideally close the launcher when started.
Also once you quit the game, there is no option to quit the launcher.
