Server Discussion Steam integrated Multiplayer?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask or not, but, as someone who's kinda having a hard time figuring out how to get Multiplayer working as is, I have this question. Are there plans to integrate Multiplayer through Steam, alongside the current method? I'm not very Port-savvy, so, I've been kinda having headaches processing all of this new stuff. ^ ^;

I just thought to ask this, since as it is, Starbound is a really cool game, and Steam integration would make it a lot more convenient. If it's planned, no need to rush it, it'd just be cool to know if it's coming at some point. Sorry for pestering, but thank you for your time!
