Starting sword does more damage than any craftable after FK update

    I just loaded up my old world where I had crafted a Regular Broadsword and an Iron Axe, both of which were doing 60+ damage per hit to an enemy which allowed me to actually progress with the game. Now I find that my Broadsword and Axe both do less than the starting Broken Hero Sword.

    What's the point of this update if it's only going to nerf the weapon damage and prevent us from actually killing anything? I've found a few swords and spears (the Crappy ones) and they do even less damage than the normal Iron Anvil craftable ones.

    these forums have enough hyperbole about the "impossible" combat already, thanks. try playing the game instead of posting a complaint that, if you played the game for another 30 minutes, you never would have made.

    Well, considering I have over two hours on this one character alone, I think I have room to cast my vote on this latest update ruining starting combat. I don't know why you are defending a broken mechanic when the whole concept of mining for ores to craft upgrades becomes moot the moment you realize every weapon you can craft does less damage than the starting weapon. This leaves a person to either hope the RNG is good to them and they find a chest containing a good weapon or the planet they start off on has a merchant to sell them a gun.

    So, perhaps when you get off your high horse, you can actually look at the game from an objective standpoint rather than immediately getting defensive anytime someone brings up a valid argument.

    Maybe lowering the starting weapon dps. But i hate being able to one shot everything at the moment. 2-3 hits to kill would be alrigth. But i agree with OP. Why would I go mine just to craft something that does less dps than what i already have. I think the same goes with the snow armor... it's too overpowered. Why would i craft copper armor? While i just have to hunt exploring the surface.

    But those are balance isues...
