Starting Planet Randomized?

Will the starting planet be random? From most of the beta gameplay I have seen it was that same blue looking planet? I think the starting planet should be randomized, if it is already feel free to correct me

 

If you were looking at Insomnia festival demo videos, it was pre-set for the demo so everyone had a similar experience on a planet that was "good" to show off the game.

 

So does that mean we can get the chance to get a bad planet or something along the lines of that?

 

One would assume most starting planets would be somewhat friendly, but I guess its possible to get a rather ugly or unfriendly planet. Tis also possible that at the time of the insomnia demos the planet generator could make planets that would not show off the game nicely.

 

I'm not really sure how it works. By the above I just meant in the sense that people wouldn't be looking for trees for 20 minutes or anything like that that would prevent them from experiencing other things.

 

I think starting planet will be randomized, but it'll have low difficulty so players won't be one-hit killed.

 

If the generation algorithm is well made, there should not be any bad starting planets since this planet is supposed to be of diffficulty 1. This kind of planet would be as easy place to survive on. The absence of an important ressource would probably send the difficulty higher making it illegible for starter planet.
