Starter home progression

Just came across this video of the most ultimate of starting homes, and building up from a no technology state.

Thatch blocks should probably be a technology before clay blocks, and wheat seems like a fun choice for ingredients, with or without wood & plant fibre.

Suddenly feel the need to dust off a survival game. lol

Real life minecraft. Start with your bare hands and the wild. Go!

 

I prefer the idea of using the new Reed item to craft Thatch.

 

They're already responsible for making Reed Blocks, and wheat is yellow, whereas Reeds make the bright green but not quite Thatch blocks.

 

Both would work, actually, considering that thatch is made with straw or reeds, but color is not a reason to argue against the use of reeds because you can be assured that dried reeds are yellow, even if they aren't shown in-game.

 

Well this would be way too time consuming, but it's worth it on future updates.

 

I do like the idea. Maybe it might get added one day. The video just made me think immediately of survival-style games that's all.
