I am currently in my first year of Latin and know four words for "kill" and two for "dead" and "die", but only just now learned how to say "yes" and only now have learned the genitive and abalative cases... My name has some funny stories; each agnomen came from a game in class, and the nomen NONGENSIUS is literally not-family (ironic, as it's the family name!). At first, our teacher thought it was pretty silly; now the Nongensians are a common word thrown about within the Latin classes, especially since I was one of the best in our class. Again, Latin is awesome!
OOHH! NON-GENS! I get it now... In our class, we have a smart-board, so our latin teacher developed the Latin word for "Amishing" that is used whenever our peers fails to not-break the smart-board and/or our magister's laptop, though I always forget what it is...
