Also, i come back with more insight with poi and bookmark.

Bookmark :
1- /bookmark cant be use on the ship when is is above the planet but can be use on the planet
2- when i land : "/bookmark test" : got this response :
"Bookmark test added
<server> No such command bookmark"
3- when i land "/goto test" just after that i got :
"there is no bookmark named: test"

i never delete a file, it's just not created.

Some commands that take only 1 parameter will handle no qutoes. If it doesn't work you need quotes... we should change everything to uae quotes... todooooooo

 

Something is wrong there. Do you have bookmarks folder inside config folder?

 

Nope.

 

You need it. A path must exist - so none of your bookmarks/pois are saved. Look at file structure from repository ... it has an empty bookmarks folder.

 

on the repo i juste see that in the config folder :

Oh I have some rly cool news and some bad news ... which one first?
Projectile protection in current versions doesn't work (bad news) ... it was all messed up. Got it fixed now (good news).
Found some stupid loops in planet protection (bad news), removed them - works like a charm (good news).

I'll be pushing a small commit here for planet protections. Hopefully it will get rid of griefers. They can still throw bombs, but when they explode, nothing happens :O they can still place torches and stuff, idk what's up with that for now, but I was looking through packets and maybe i'll find something to block that aswell. Just need time to play with stuff, and I'm running out of it daily with all the fixes.

But I have to say i'm really happy you report this stuff, so i can fix it. About the core, i cannot do there much, it is how it is, i can tweak it some here and there, but that's it. After I get this thing stable and fixed and all the stuff in you guys want, I'll work with 3k version, see what I can do there. I'm slowly getting know-how about some packets, but don't expect to much

You actually need to create a folder inside the config folder named bookmarks
It should look like this ./StarryPy/config/bookmarks/

 

fix that like a charm.

Another feedback anyway.

For adding a personnal bookmark you need to be on the planet, hummm ok weird but ok.
For adding a poi you need to be on the ship. wtf, the exact opposite way of working than bookmark... why ?

imo it just need to work for both in orbit ship and planet... (if you not share my opinion i will not be hungry tough )

I think you got that wrong. Anytime you make a bookmark or a poi_set you need to be on a planet, so it can register which planet you're bookmarking. And you need to be on a ship to actually goto or poi to a destination. For remove and poi_del there's no requirement to be anywhere... and I just checked that

Edit: Maybe got a suggestion for renaming the commands? I'm not particulary happy with those anyway.

 

Well no ... right now all commands are single word, no sub commands. We discussed this, and for this version maybe later, when other stuff is fixed, but in general i was more leaning towards this in 2.x, would take quite some work for 1.x

Also yeah i get confuse exactly because the commands are like a bit weird.
For me i think the best way is like that :

(/command) (argument) (value1) (value2) (etc)

exemple command: /bookmark
exemple arguments: add/del/rename/etc...

 

planet announcer still broadcasts the message even when not visiting the local planet you are on. Am i missing a fix?

 

Also i'm maybe asking too much, bu any way to have custom groups ?

Like groups for donators, and manage commands for each groups ?

Meh that thing is not working right since the enraged. Its kinda displayed with delay, but that still doesn't work right in all the cases. Idk what to do with it rly ... annoying as hell.

 

SweFox has Donators with ability to give items, but that makes moderators being able to give items also so not rly, in this version its all hardcoded, 2.x has roles, so there anything is possible.

 

Carrots said he might make a plugin for 3.4 but I would mostly be alias to groups.
