    this got my hopes up for nothing, i feel bad that the only VPS for starbound i find run Linux OS :/ sence i cant use starrybound:(

    any hand would be appreciated i got it installed everything with steam i can start the server but what after you just extract starrybound inside linux64 and what about the mono editing part ?

    Zido, since you're here at the moment.
    I've got my server started up, port in place, etc etc
    It seems to run perfectly, except nobody can connect because "wrong password." There is no password, though. But, when I input one in the proper place (next to proxyPass according to your wiki), plugging it in when the server is up feeds me the same problem.
    Does it have something to do with my having swapped the serverPort and proxyPort to actually host the server? Do I NEED to forward 21024?
    Do I need to fill in server account AND server password?

    Cilent connection info timed out, I have been getting alot of these, Is this to do with my internet, or the programme?

    This is what we have setup
    "serverPort": 21024,
    "proxyIP": "0.0.0.0",
    "proxyPort": 21025,
    "proxyPass": "",

    Then people can connect to you just fine.

    ok i found it heres i had to make a sh file and put screen -AmS sb mono starrybound_server.exe
    so now i have a detachable console from putty :p

    Great work on the mod, I skimmed the thread but didn't find any mention if this has the capability to change the base weather types for an planet that's already been loaded. Maybe this isn't possible due to the way lua code works, anyhow, appreciate the help.

    I see not all the commands are showing under /help is it possible to perhaps depending on what group you are assigned to only see those commands but all of them that group can use when he does /help ?

    I think this got mentioned before, but people keep placing non-block items, such as propellers, torches, guard spawners, electronic/wire stuff, they are not prevented in any way. They can't remove them afterwards, which makes things worse.

    I'm also having a hard time finding certain projectiles that cause issues, such as the bonehammer's explosive effect, would that just be the "boneswoosh" projectile?

    The starbound devs like to use invisible projectiles to do multiple effects, instead of using raycasting. meteors are a complex thing of multiple invisible projectiles destroying and creating blocks on collision with delicate timing.

    Oh that's gonna be pain, wouldn't it be more useful to get a projectile -whitelist- at spawn then, instead of a blacklist? Would be cool if the dev of this wrapper would consider that :p
     
  17. Okay a request: BLOCK all the darn guns at Spawn. They can mod the normal projectiles to enough damage to destroy blocks anyway. :wut:
    And they can still make bugged projectiles to create "Crash Guns" that crash any client hit by such "invisible" projectile, so i still insist the white-list may help this, or a option/way to simply block all projectiles at spawn for now.

    Also other way to grief spawn bypassing that: That "interact-able" containers, that explode with blocks of dark matter / water / lava.

    Yep, have to agree with this. Asset digest is a good thing to have.

    Asset digest does not prevent people from using modified assets, it only prevents them from adding/deleting files to/from the asset directory.

    People can still modify their shit, but modifying guns is a bit harder since guns are randomly generated, and not bound to specific items.
