Stardew Valley Xbox One + PS4: Known Issues & Fixes (Patch 1)

Same has happen for my wife and I. Hers will not load and mine will work fine.. .

 

So something is being saved even after the save screen. I realize this kinda contradicts my husband's quitting ritual and not getting the crash to title bug, but it also reinforces my bad internet theory...

Sorry I have really good internet and still ran into this crash

 

I've run into the save file-return to title screen thing too. Year 2, Spring, at the Egg Festival. It happened after my console (Xbox One) shut down while I was playing the game. Next time I started the game back up after trying to load a save it would just loop back to the title screen. I've tried quitting from the Xbox dashboard, re-downloading the game, hard restart of the console, the save still won't load. I tried a new save and that works (for now).

I guess I'm a little thankful because I can't stop myself from playing this game lol

 

I've encountered yet another glitch. Adopted a baby...its glitched into the top left hand side of my house wall. Yay. x.x

 

It may be silly to suggest this but :
Is there anyone in London who has the problem of loading-game-back-to-title and can go to Chuklefish Games office to download his save on their dev xbox?

 

I've got this issue also for me it started on the first day of summer in my second year. I always quit to menu then dashboard quit the game. I've got 50 hours into the game and it seems many people are over the 30 hour mark before finding this issue. The official group on the Xbox also has people experiencing the problem might be an idea to talk to them too.

 

Wow, I'll be playing story of seasons/harvest moon til it's fix. I been playing real slowly myself. I'm still in first of summer.

 

I tried loading up my file on my fiance xbox instead of mine and my files still won't work. I don't think it's an issue with the xbox but with the particular game file. Both of us will shut down the xbox without going to the game menu so I don't think it is that either. The game lags during save while making a continuous noise then crashes. After that my file no longer worked. I've loved Harvest Moon since the Gameboy Color so even if I don't get my files back, I will still play if this issue is fixed for future saves. Please fix this soon because I went to bed last night organizing my farm in my head!!

 

Our saves won't work on their dev versions of the game.

 

Thought I would try my save game again. No luck. Although I did realise you can tap the A button on the leaves surrounding the title screen to make flowers appear and get a wee visit. I'll just keep doing that till we get an update. Any further update? Even if it is that progress is still slow?

 

I cant believe that the devs cant replicate the bug or even better yet FIX IT!!!!!

 

That's the reason I've not just started again don't want to see it a second time with tens of hours in.

Tuesday January 10th before 1pm (mountain time)
Went to load save file and am returned to chucklefish loading screen (ironic how it laughs at me)

 

Yeah I've been tempted to restart but having to restart or replay sections of games is a pet peeve, and if I do it again only to have my file corrupt then it'd probably put me off ever going back to it.

 

I am writing regarding point 1. The save game on my profile on my Xbox one returns to the main title screen instead of loading the save file. However my wife shares my console and her save game on her profile is unaffected.

Date: 1/12/17 12:06pm (or just after 12:00pm mountain time)
In game date: Morning Monday 15th of Spring.

Harvesting a specific potato freezes the game- sound, movement, everything from what I can tell and then I am sent to the dashboard. It is a repeatable issue- I tried harvesting it the next in game day at 12:48pm irl. Seems like maybe it is related to xboxusersad's issue.

A different issue, I got stuck riding the horse on my character's farm between the horse stable on the right side and to the left of a line of fencing at 12:18p ish. Same in game day too (spring 15 year 2) and irl. It was the southeast corner of the horse stable and the fence piece is a southwest corner of that helps. I was originally traveling north into a one wide gap between the stable and fence. I tried to move in every direction, and dismount in every direction with no luck. My character on his horse was able to look in every direction, but not move.

Looks like it's not a lucky day haha, hope this helps though

 

Game save won't load on Xbox One. I click on the save and it loads for a second before kicking me out to the main menu with the chucklefish logo. I had been playing the file for 43 hours and was on the 17th of Spring, Year 2. In the game before it wouldn't load, I had two iridium bars in the furnace, Robin had been upgrading the coop to a Deluxe coop and a duck egg was in the incubator about to hatch. When I closed the game it has successfully saved after sleeping and I went to the Xbox home page, clicked the Xbox button and closed the application before turning my Xbox off. In terms of where I am, I'm in England and the game wouldn't load around 20 : 30. Hope this helps, really hoping for a fix soon because I adore this game.

 

My PS4 Pro was also experiencing the hanging on shutdown and not entering standby. At first i thought it was the PSVR causing the issue, but it just started happening again and i thought it might be SDV causing it. This might be also be intermittent since it stopped happening for about a week after i unhooked everything. I wish i would have seen this thread earlier. Makes me feel better seeing everyone else with this issue. I sent my PS4Pro back to Sony this week so we'll see what happens when i get the new one.

 

Chucklefish, any chance we can get an update? I check back each day hoping to see a post that the loading problem has been fixed and our saves will work once the patch comes out. It's been 2 weeks since my save failed

 

Meanwhile, there are people - like me - who haven't had the glitch yet, but have stopped playing for nearly 3 weeks in fear of getting it.

Even a reply with "Yes, we've replicated the bug and can confirm that saves will work after the patch" would be helpful to me, even if you dont have an eta on the patch itself. That knowledge would allow me to play again since I haven't even hit the bug yet.
