Stardew Valley Xbox One + PS4: Known Issues & Fixes (Patch 1)

Guys this is not the place to deal with this issues, open a topic on general discussion to talk about this stuff, I waited such a long time to play no man's sky with friends and it never happened.
Chucklefish, is working on the case at the same time they're doing localization and Multiplayer.

This topic is for the bugs and fixes on consoles, once you posted your bug the staff will check and add it to the first post.

Loading Bug on Xbox One:

Day 26, my girlfriend quit to menu right after save. Robin was on her farm constructing a well. She only had gardens and no animals besides the cat on her lot. She recently got the backpack update.

Xbox one: Don't know if this is where to post this.
Save file won't load. I had woken up and spoken with demitrius about the cave. I chose mushrooms. I clicked to read the mail but it vanished before I could read it. So I thought to reload my save.
Now it won't load and goes back to menu.

It's the 14th of summer year 1. 22:15 into the game. Playing as a female. (Just trying to provide any info possible).

 

Xbox One user here. After hitting 63 hours in Winter, Year 2 - my save stopped loading. Each attempt to load the save file returned me to the title screen. The error has been happening for a week rendering the game not playable. I hope this is patched! Thanks.

 

Despite me agreeing with your sentiment. I did feel honor bound for the sake of board game sanctity to inform you that you get 200 dollars for passing go.

 

Xbox one player here. 26th spring, year 2, I just got the title loading bug. 43 : 39 hours in, just unlocked the bus, just did 2nd expansion on coop. (not sure what info is helpful...)

 

Is the save not loading and going back to the title screen a bug or did they just not code a message to appear when your save is corrupt..

Has anyone received a save file corrupt message when loading a save, or is this just what happens..

 

Im also haveing this problem, but its only when im picking corn. It happened around 3:15. 1/12/17. I thought maybe it was the thunder storm but its happening on sunny days now

I think the developers are already working on this angle, but I have a strong suspicion the load issue is related to the issue where an object in the world randomly changes to some other object. That also only seems to be happening on the Xbox, so if they are stress testing to try and cause that and are able to, they can probably recreate the save/load issue at the same time.

I'm guessing what happens is at some point in a user's world (a chest, or out in the field, etc.) some regular object changes to something that shouldn't be in there - like a piece of ore changing into a trashcan (something you can't normally use in that way). The game is able to save this way, but when it tries to load it sees that value and doesn't know what the hell is going on and bails out. The example probably sucks, but yeah.

If that is the case, it would be interesting to fix. How would the game determine what the object "should" be? I suppose worst case it could ditch the object entirely and proceed without it, which could mean losing something entirely but it would be better than failing to load the game completely.

 

Seriously, how is this not fixed yet or at least addressed in some detailed way? First I had to wait because I couldn't get past year one. I was fine with it. Now I've invested an additional 50-60 hours in a game that's lost. I am certainly not starting over only for this to happen again, so the game is unplayable. It's not some mildly irritating or inconvenient bug - it's a game-breaking, joy-sucking disappointment.

 

PS4 user on Summer 5 of year 2. I've just finished the community center and turned my attention to the collections tab and noticed that the Ancient Seed still has ??? in its spot on the collections screen despite the fact that I've already donated one to the museum way back in the spring of my first year. I can still interact with the one in the museum, but I am concerned that I won't get credit for completing the collection when the time comes.

 

When I advanced to year 2 I had logged out and whenever I try to log back in it continues to put me back to the Chuckle Fish and Concerned Ape screen. I'm not sure what to do I really had fun playing up until now. I am on Xbox One S and I would really like to know if this will be fixed soon

 

Your not the only one with the issue. Happen to my wife and I today. Hopefully they get it fixed as soon as they can. Really enjoy playing this as well.

 

Yeah I thought Xbox One S screwed up so I restarted it and it did the exact same thing. It might also be trying to me tell to take a break from playing

 

I found this in the bugs list it has the problem I am having. I'm hoping this is found by the devs and helps them. 1. Xbox Saves not loading - We actually think these reports may be two different bugs which look similar, one is crashing when loading save games, the other is returning to title when loading a save game. Both are only happening for Xbox players, and unfortunately we can't collect players save files - we're trying to reproduce this ourselves and have so far been unable to. We know it's not happening for all players (as we've been trying to reproduce it unsuccessfully on a number of different machines), which unfortunately makes it even harder to replicate. Additionally, because the game is returning to title, not 'crashing' it looks like it's not producing a dump - so unfortunately we don't have a crash log to reference for these. We're still working trying to reproduce it (even over NYE weekend), and we absolutely understand how frustrating it is for players who suddenly can't play - this is the most critical bug we're working on. As @tccoxonposted earlier in this thread - we're not confident these saves are corrupted, so don't delete them. It's very possible there's a loading issue causing them to fail to start. Both these crashes are still under investigation, so please continue to post details if you see them - any information could prove helpful.

 

I said screw it and did the Gold Pumpkin glitch to at least get the JojaCo, Max House and 10 mil achievements on a new save. Requesting a refund now since it's not likely the game will be playable any time soon.

 

I have a problem where I started a new game after after my first one was not loading (known issue). I went to the mines and it was fully unlocked because it carried over no chests were there except level 120, I died in the mines a few times and lost levels back to 100. I decided to start a new game so I deleted that one and went to the mines and it was unlocked until level 100, I played and I got to level 120 and there was no chest so I'm unable to get the key I've been to the desert and tried to go into the door or play the game in the saloon and I don't have it? I really don't want to start a new games as this is the second one I've put 25+ hours into. Any solutions or am I out of luck?

 

Should of left the saved file you had, until they patched it. I read somewhere from the support team anyone having loading issues do not delete our saved files.

 

I'm having the corrupt save issue. Happened to my first file about a week ago. Just happened to my second file an hour ago in year two. The came crashed and when I restarted my file, it just looped back to the start up screen after showing the controls. My fiance has the game also but has not experienced this problem.
