Stardew Valley Android/iOS: Known Issues and Fixes

I have exactly the same issue as you (my screenshots have the exact same border), but I'm on Mi A2 Lite (as I posted before)

GameVersion: March 12 (dont know exactly which number this was )

I have a really strange issue - or "had".

When i went into Summer Day 2 Year 1, I (myself in rl) "passed out" and of course the tabelt went dark and halted the game - issue is, I woke up and started it up, now the game is at Summer Day 22. I missed basically the whole Summer Season. Fun part, reverting to an older save gets me only to the 21. So either i played like crazy through the night (while sleeping) or some strange shenanigans are goin on.

Unfortunately there is no way to reproduce this in a stable way. But if someone stumbles upon something similar there will be a fix hopefully

 

I updated the app to the latest and now when I go to bed I get a black screen indefinitely and if I close then reopen the app picking load or load from previous location also gives a black screen.
I have copied another users file around the same time and progress to get around this and 2 days (game time) into playing I seen the same black screen??
I have also started a new game and copied the game file SaveGameInfo in to the attached - same problem
I have also renamed the _bak file to be the active file - same wont load - just a black screen

EDIT: Just looking over the thread I seen there was an update on the sleeping issue - I am installing now - fingers crossed!

EDIT: The patch totally fixed it!! I only lost 2 real days of not playing thanks Chuicklefish for looking after your users

Now, where did I put that slime??!!

 

I am having the going to sleep issue; I go to bed and the screen is black but with a white line down the bottom and it just stops. If I shut down and go back in if I select to start where I left off it closes the game completely. If I choose to load game, the moment I go to sleep the same issue happens. I can’t access my pc right now to upload a file sorry. I’m so sad without being able to play my game!

 

Hello. I am a new player, only had the game a few weeks. I play on an iPad. I have two issues to report.

1. Crash on loading save game, save file “Holly”

When the update dropped I was no longer able to load my existing save file. I was on day 27 of Winter in Year 1. I went to sleep fine, but next time I opened the game it would say loading and then crash to my iPad menu screen. I tried moving the saved files around like how it suggests in several problem shooting tutorials, but once I moved the files out of Stardew Valley and then back in (tried with current files, old files, and emergency save) it showed up to load but wouldn’t even go to loading screen, just went back to main Stardew Valley title screen. It is the “Holly” file that is uploaded.

2. New game, same issue as above, no save file

I started a new game and had same issue as above after only playing through six days of first spring. At this point I uninstalled the app, deleting that save file in the process since it wasn’t very far. Upon reinstalling tried to add back my “Holly” save file and it still wouldn’t open, just returning me to the main menu.

3. Resources disappearing out of inventory and chests, save file “Reyne”

Started a third game. Have made it to day 8 of spring with no crash issues, but have started noticing things disappearing out of my chests and inventory. Think it started around day six, but I just thought I’d gotten confused about what I had since I kept starting over. Realized on day 8 that things are definitely disappearing. So far I have lost several hundred pieces of wood, around 150 stones, and 9 pieces of iron ore. Issue seems most likely to occur when moving things between inventory and chest, but that might just be when I’m most likely to notice it. I decided to stop playing until the issues are addressed and came here to make a report, since I love the game and I don’t want to get frustrated with my disappearing resources. Attached file is “Reyne”.

Edit: tried to attach files, but it says they aren’t an allowed extension.

 

Hi I got the latest IOS build on my ipad. Really like the pinch to zoom feature. However I don’t like how the energy bar lower right is now so SMALL and don’t like that the time/day/date upper right is also so SMALL. Is there a control somewhere that I can make that bigger? Same deal with the dialog box along the bottom of the screen. TOO SMALL. Come ON some of us are OLD and need a bigger font (the control for making numbers font bigger does not help).
Along the same line the fishing minigame is now all over the place. It used to be consistently on the left of my screen but now it is right, then left, very annoying. Also the fishing mini game seems to be “zoomed in” and the entire window doesn’t show correctly.
Also the calendar is now too small!
Other than that everything seems normal!

 

Game crashes after going to bed day 6 of spring. On android. What to do or is there a patch.

Since the new pinch zoom update my game has been crashing a lot. The game gets really laggy to the point of closing, usually happening when I enter a building or when I tried to do the Festival or Ice. I say tried because the game crashed everytime so I just went to bed.I think it might be from all the npcs but i’m not sure.Thanks for the help!

 

It does not appear in the Google Play Store in korea. It seems that it is not registered in the developer console. Is there any particular reason? I want to know the release date.

 

Can we get a fix for the xbox one controller? It has minimal support. All you can do is move your character and use items. You cannot navigate through menus or switch items.

 

Deffo need this ASAP people are major complaining about the fact that they put in the description in playstore that it had full support yet no controller can be used to switch tools etc or used in menus...

 

Hi so I have been have an iOS 8 plus 1.20 version just updated because of bug. Whenever I go to the wizards house the game becomes very laggy and then the screen blacks out and crashes then goes back to where i started the day before. This doesn’t happen when I go into houses,caves,coops,etc. I may need to let it have some time but it really frustrates me and I don’t want to start over. Also I am in winter last day of night market.

I have noticed now that in year one Fall (mid I believe?) After Jodi asks you to bring a Largemouth Bass to her dinner that when you fish near the cave or you enter the library after the first fall festival the same bug happens as above stated.

 

I'm no expert but it seems like cave audio files somehow overlay with normal audio files, creating this mess.
It's not a huge issue. However walking around with your audio completely muted isn't the same experience.

 

Hi i’ve been playing on my iPhone (iOS) for About 2 weeks on version 1.19 and had zero problems. Last Night the game updated to version 1.20 and now the game crashes back to the home screen when i try to load my old save. I was only at winter year 1, but now all the time i spent playing was for nothing. thats stil pretty annoying.. and there is more, i started a new game, and in the 6 in-game days i played i have had the screen go black and stay black when i went to bed 3 times. Game does not respond to anything at that point, Only Solution is to restart the game, load earlier save and replay the last day. Long story short: since v1.20 the game is kind of unplayable on iOS

Since upgrading to 1.20, the text and icons for my inventory items, date/time, etc are all extremely small. I haven't changed any settings from when I last played about a month ago.

 

I want to report a Problem I have encountered with the game on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ (Android 9). Around day 14-16 of spring in year one my character model was reset to the default, all my achievements were gone and I couldn't enter the community center anymore. What stayed the same was my inventory and my crops. Also around the same time there was a bug where the cherry blossom animation froze and the petals didn't move. I have a screen capture of that, but it was too big to upload here, feel free to contact me for that oder if you have further questions. Thanks!
