Actually, there is a mac version. It's what I'm using. I'm positive you have just not taken the time to look for it.

Now, if you already have the mac version, I would say that you just need to start the application, or open the .zip file, or something like that. There should be an application somewhere in your downloads called starcheat.

I gotta agree with SweFox, .mopak files are rising in popularity and I'd love to see Starcheat support it

@SweFox and @PLOPinkiePie I've got a patch here to add basic support for modpak files, I will make an update tonight. It may not be perfect yet but supports ~30 mods tested so far without trouble, I expect everything else will index fine too. Sorry again for the lack of updates, just been so busy with work and not really in the mood for coding.

You are right that this is undesirable behaviour. In the future, you can run through these steps to clear everything out without copying your Starbound folder. I've made a new github issue here to fix it though.

    See if this helps: http://starcheat.org/community:guides:editing_colors
But this is a bit out of scope for starcheat specifically, I am not an expert at modding. If you figure out how to do this stuff please let me know and I can add it to the wiki.

Let me know if you figure this out (or if you have seen it working before). My hunch is that it won't work though because guns and swords are 2 fundamentally different asset types in Starbound.

Tech editing is in the works still but getting there slowly. If you want to add new techs you can do it either by giving yourself techchip items or by adding tech recipes to your character.

I am not sure sorry :( please let me know if you find out, I can add it to the wiki.

Did you get the mac version working?

Is there anything special I need to do to get .modpak support working? I have all my modpaks properly installed, yet starcheat is not detecting any of them. In fact, it's detecting mods I have since removed from my mods folder (and placed inside a dummy folder inside the mods folder called zzzz) and tracking the filepath as \mods\(mymodhere).

How do I update the mod list?

    In the editor > Tools > Options > "Rebuild index" > Restart starcheat > ??? > Profit.

    Profit was had! Much appreciated.

Perhaps it'd be more trouble than it's worth, but I would think mod could largely benefit from being listed in the Cheat/God tab. (Though this has probably been mentioned before many times in this thread.)

It sounds like one your characters was corrupted by something or other. Did you recently uninstall a mod that added a tech that your character was equipped with? That would probably do it. Try adding the mod you deleted back in, removing your techs, and then uninstalling.

If all else fails, you could try going to your starbound player folder and replacing the .player file that corresponds to your character with the player.bak1 file (take off the .bak1 at the end). Back everything up first, just in case.

I don't suppose you can make it work with the Avali mod, or other custom races?

Since there's no "delete char" option in Starbound, maybe you could add a delete button somewhere, would make easier for ppl to delete chars - i've seen ppl still complaining about deleting manually.

    Extremely nice work though.

The easiest way to delete a character is to play as it, make sure when in the starbound player selector it's at the top, the go to the /starbound/player/ folder and look at the last-played character, move it (DONT DELETE) to a possible backup place for if you accidentally move a few files too much and then start starbound again, the character should be gone ;3

Yes I am aware how to delete players, but some are not and it probably wouldn't be to hard for @wizzomafizzo to inplement it in starcheat.

It already does. All race mods seem to be supported, so long as you index your starbound installation while the mods are installed.

    LOL BALL Existential Complex

That happened to me, but I didn't get any mods like that. It deletes the character when ever I try to mod a vanilla item...

In that case, it sounds like you did something wrong. Delete the offending item or try figuring out what you did wrong and fixing it.

A bunch of things appear as X's, save for a few things. Also my character appears as an X as well, preventing me from customizing the look.

My character is an Avali, by the way.
