there's no assets.db or starcheat.ini in the folder

 

I'm having the exact same problem. I've followed the steps for unpacking the assets like, 4 times. Every single time it seems to pull up a terminal that I can't interact with and does seemingly nothing.

 

Hi, when I downloaded this everything started up and booted up perfectly. But there is just one problem, there are no icons and I can not see my character so I can't do any modifcations. Please help?

If you get this error, starcheat has found at least the starcheat.ini file, which is misconfigured (maybe from an older starcheat version)

@Pixeludicrous , @Pandemonium and @harmsway1947 : update to the newest starcheat version, reset your settings and start starcheat again. After selecting the starbound folder there should be an prompt. which unpacks the assets folder for you. If this doesn't work, pls provide some logfiles.

When I reset my setttings, it says "Unable To Index Assets" when I startup starcheat. Then when I use "repacking and unpacking" it doesn't do anything.

 

I tried out the new Starcheat it did nothing so I tried the most resent suggestion on resetting the files. It made it 10X worse. I'm hardy ever one to get aggravated, so this must be a vary sore subject for anyone when I say this Mod is making me mad! >=(

I was able to get it to work again, but I still stuck on the races issue? The races are in their proper place uncompiled. Yet still has the same issue. If your wondering how many Assets I have look at a previous post.

 

Hello, I recently got this working on the latest patch and everything seemed to work fine except the character. I tried backing up my save and trying it anyways and i was greeted in game by a floran with a human face and no features. It seems the editor screwed with my character and i'm not sure how to get around this. Any ideas?

 

I tried using this so that I could change my character's personality. Thats literally all I wanted to change. So of COURSE everything works fine, except for the "Appearance" button, which is just greyed out.

 

When more options get added I plan on creating Legendary Coal.

 

I'm facing a similar problem with any weapon in general, any way to fix?

Same thing happend to me! It is quite annoying.

 

I unpacked the assets according to the instructions that were posted, but I'm still getting the "Unable to index assets." error each time I try to start Starcheat.

Am I doing something wrong? Any assistance would be appreciated.

the command looks fine ..
if i put it in a normal cmd window, it works fine
not sure why it wont run from inside starcheat .. strange
