What I would like to see happen is to see it on the Humble Bundle after a while. I would buy it a second time via the Humble Bundle if they did!

    Bonoshman Big Damn Hero

I'm buying it no matter what. I voted 15$ though. The developers will have worked on it pretty hard. They need more than 10$. I would pay 15$ without hesitation. On Tiy's twitter, I saw something about them aiming for 10$ though.

    ^This.

I wouldn't mind paying the same price as I would for a AAA title if I'd be getting anywhere near the same amount of time spent on it as Terraria.

Im guessing it might cost around 10$-15$. I mean Terraria alone costed 10 dollars, and I got 666 hours out of it. I think I doomed us all with that that time I played it. But lets face it, with this economy, the consideration over others and the price conversion over other regions, it seems like a resonable price over many(if not all) categories. Developers get a decent Income, Most people will be able to afford it(Yet some would still hesistate to buy it.) And it won't be a heck of difference within other regions. (notice that 10 euros alone is adding 3 dollars[...right?] Imagine those who thought of putting in 60 euros.)

I thought the currency on steam was like in US, 5 Euro game is $5USD! I need some learning to do...

  7. I'm not exactly sure how Steam works with prices in different countries, but there's also the possibility of non-Steam releases which technically could use "normal" rates, so some people may still want to see those.

Basically anyone that uses the Euro on Steam gets completely ripped off, because they price EU games by doing $1 = €1. AAA title for $60? EU need to pay €60 = $80.

It isnt so bad with us in the UK, but anyone buying games for Steam in Europe should just find a nice Steam key site and buy them from there for much less.

I'd have to guess somewhere around the 25-30$ range, considering how much content there will be and not to mention custimization.

even if it would be 50 dollors i would still buy it considering i will more than likely be puting at least several hundred hours into it.

I would spend more on this game then I spent on World of Warcraft

Ten dollars is a good price, in my opinion. That's how much I paid for Terraria, and then some with the four-pack. Here's hoping for another co-op booster pack!

I'd pay 15, that seems like a fair price for a game that's more promising than Terraria

For the ambition and passion that the devs show. I'd be willing to pay $15 or $20.

I see most people have voted for 10 euros. Sounds reasonable, considering that it's about 14 American dollars.

I think the perfect pries lies between 10-15€/$/whatever currency you're using. But I would have no problem to pay 20€ if I get the same amount of playtime that I got with Terraria.

I would say they'll choose anywhere between 10~20 price range. No less, no more.

It's nice to see some people in the community would gladly pay up more than 20, some even say they'd gladly spend 50 or more! But unfortunately reality comes into play as far as a price goes. Sure, some of us in the community would gladly spend 25+ for Starbound, but realistically the majority of the possible consumers will not spend that much for a 2D, retro-style game. At those prices it'll just be pirated or not bothered with whatsoever.

When it comes to things like this you have to put all personal opinions aside and look at everything from a realistic point of view.

15 euros is a fair price. Even though I would probably pay more, other people might not.

But what if starbound gives you free keychains with every purchase? Would you buy more than one?
