Starbound, will generated monsters see a return?

So it seems the latest stable patch has removed procedurally generated monsters in favor of set predesigns. (Or at the very least the generated monsters are so rare now as to be virtually non-existant.) My question is...

    * Are they just testing/showcasing the set monsters now and generated ones will see a return?
    * Or have they actually decided that Starbound will focus entirely or primarily on set monsters from now on?

Because everything I've read seems to suggest the latter, but Starbound without generated content seems a lot like Mario without jumping - missing the entire point. If I want a 2D sandbox building game with set content, I have Terraria. The reason I came to Starbound was because of the infinite variety that could be explored and discovered, and part of that means I'm not fighting the same 10 or 12 enemies over and over everywhere I go.

...they never went away. The piecemeal monsters are still there, typically at least two types on the surface alone.

I don't think I've seen any genmons since Glad Giraffe...

They need to have their spawn rate percentage upped quite a bit. It's really rare to see anything other than the pre-made ones. It makes the worlds seem pretty same-y in my opinion.

Also, a lot of the preset monsters are really generic... no offense to the developers. So there's also times when I think I've found a random but no, it's just one of the more boring presets.

The premade monsters appear alot as opposed to the random!monsters because the devs probably wanted feedback on them and needed more feedback on those than the procedurally generated monsters.

Unique monsters need to be rare. For example, there was a nice change on the nightly (before disk write error and other problems) where the mine on the first Lush planet housed a boss; an Adult Poptop with absurd health that spawned Poptops. A legit boss fight right off the bat, kind of like a battle against Crocomire in Super Metroid. THIS is how uniques should be; creatures in small boss arenas that provide challenges. My favorite type of genned monster was rare enough before all these uniques, but I've NEVER seen a centaur head on any monster since the update. I loved catching little centaurs.

Fun fact; the Adult Poptop that spawned Poptops was capturable. When it was called out, it also called out one Poptop, so you had a Poptop mortar with more poptops at your command. They persisted though, so you had to dump lava to get rid of any poptops that were left behind after recalling the Adult.

Also I feel like uniques should be... well, unique. I'm seeing unique, premade monsters that are nothing but a little thing that charges you or spits poison. The point of presets should be to do things that would be too difficult to procedurally generate, like the poptops and whatnot.

they are with less frequency, but I am still seeing them. I also think that they are needed, but so are unique attacks and monster with apecial properties. would be nice if the spawn rate for the two were split, to provide the chance for more and varied monsters on screen.

Personaly i would like it if they added some random variations to the special monsters. (Like different skin colors, small differences in shape, etc).

in nightly build I see lot of genmons, they are not so rare anymore.
