Most CoD players stick to consoles. This doesn't surprise me.

 

Well, it's not totally fair.
Cod didn't just come out this week, and most people, (I assume) don't even play it on PC.
Rather, they play it on their consoles.

 

This is true, infact Xbox One has to thank CoD for a good deal of its success as a large number of people bought the system for just that, which is funny as it's also on 360!

 

Heh, starbound is the number one game being played on steam that costs money!
I don't see how so many people play dota 2, though. MOBAs are disgusting.

 

I don't see the relevance in those numbers. Two different games with two vastly different audience.

yeah last time I looked almost 74% of the xbox ones preorder bundles were cod and battlefield 4. But that was before launch, I do not know what they are now. I actually know two kids that got one, and there both at my house playing mario cart on the game cube with my daughter . All I know is jenny is returning it but I think it is cause of the services being behind a pay wall rather then anything being wrong with the console itself. Anywho its stilll funny to see that....88k vs 2k if you had told me that would happen at starbounds launch I would have laughed

 

Ok....this is so trollish of me but when my niece comes over I let her on my lol account, I always set her up in a ranked match. Shes five, and she always picks teemo, OMG the nerd rage is soooo crazy but we all LOVE IT. Especially since I have it on the big screen through hdmi .......I only wish she had enough of an attention span for more then a match at a time. Ok who am I kidding....she always afk's to get a drink, or get a snack, or go potty, or cause the dog is doing something funny, or cause the hamster got up....you get the idea......

 

I can agree.. but it is kind of refreshing seeing an underdog indie game completely obliterate a triple-A title like COD

...On one platform, yes. That doesn't say much either tbh. Although I am definitely more part of the Starbound audience more than I am CoD so it's pleasing to see that it's popular on Steam.

 

The point of the topic is...?
I believe ones bashing Call of Duty for no known reasons are as "smart" as players of said game.

 

You can never get away from elitism in gaming.

 

I don't see the relevance in using that overused phrase in this situation. If we were talking which game is better, OK; but we're not. We're talking about how Starbound is over ten times more popular than CoD Ghosts.

 

cod is crap..every year same crappy cod with 5% better graphics and 5 new weapons and some new maps and its ""new game"" for 50euro and i stil ldont get thoose peoples who buys it every year

 

I don't appreciate CoD or any Warfare FPS for that matter, but I hate when people say that.

It's not just CoD it's every single Warfare FPS. What the hell do you expect them to do besides adding new maps and weapons? Dragons?
