This technique usually works with all the boss', but for the sake of the tutorial i used the Inactive robot.
I have now fully completed the game and I'm waiting for the matter block to be put in so I could make my personal robot!

I am also streaming at www.twitch.tv/cloudious right now, so if you wanna see some endgame gameplay come on over.

Personally, that's not strategy, that's exploit. I do get that the bosses pretty much require either lucking out a merchant or sitting there for 15 minutes, but me.

    You fight it legit?

its even easier if you just build a small shelter with a small gap to shoot through, just my opinion.
i think i wouldnt have used that exploit, if i would have known that the inactive robot spawns a level 20 boss...
killed him with the brain extractor, deals around 17 damage to him

If you watch the video I pretty much do that.

Nah, there's no progression balance so I'd take hours to get tiered bought guns strong enough... And the material for the armor only spawns in chests. (I did fight the penguin legitimately, but I had to use a coord for buying weapons early on.) Maybe it'll be doable later legitimately, currently, it's not plausible. The enemies do not move in a pattern and speed you can learn and work with, like say, Castlevania; they're usually faster than you, cause damage on touch once they aggro and move in whatever direction so you often miss a swing and get landed on, I think it's sad for that, but as in Terraria, the only way to do it is to draw the fighting arena and abuse specific items and such.

You guys do realize that swords work through walls right? no need to shoot with weak weapons for 15 mins, just encase it in blocks, slash through the wall, right now you can kill any mob or boss this way. Hopefully they will remove the ability to slash through walls, and make all bosses block destroyers.

The first boss is easy to fight legit if you have silver armor however.

Have gotten 300 gold and titanium, still 30 silver. It's completely luck-based whether you'll be able to complete some tier or not. I had winter armor because you can get leather anywhere.

maybe a tad bit of risk of rain-esque bosses? ;P That would be sweet

    There is no difference.

In a real fight, you *exploit* the weaknesses of your opponent.

In the case of the robot, it has a weakness of not being able to fit through small spaces. Using small spaces to your advantage is a strategy.

Incidentally, the robot appears to have Dalek blood and is easily defeated by stairs.
