Starbound TF2 Hat

On topic, I would personally love to see a starbound cosmetic for TF2. Although I highly doubt it would happen.

Publicity always helps the game. I would've said it's unlikely for Valve to be interested, but indie games like Don't Starve have recently gotten promos too so it's worth a try.

 

I would LOVE a Poptop hat

 

I've never played TF2, but I think promotional content in other games is a great idea.

More Publicity -> More Awareness -> More Sales -> More Recognition and Revenue for Chucklefish -> Better Support and Content Updates etc etc

I think, if it's possible, games Chucklefish develop/publish which can get a hat on TF2 should try and release a game specific hat, eg. The Poptop Hat but also a Chucklefish Hat, with the Orange Pufferfish being incorporated into it somehow.

For Starbound, I like the Poptop Hat idea and also thought of that randomly generated creature which is being driven by that cat...

Maybe a hat which makes it look like the TF2 player is being controlled by a cat, I'm not sure what the limitations are for the hats, but it was just a thought!

 

TF2 became absolute shit since the Mann Co Update, so I'll pick the "Eh, I don't really give two shits" option.

It would make Starbound more known, though.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking. Seeing Starbound as an indie game, this could benefit them a bit in terms of publicity

 

Yeah that's pretty much when I quit. When almost overnight all my friends went from playing the game to buying keys from the shop nonstop (when they could barely afford food) in order to have a miniscule chance of pulling out an unusual hat. Not to mention there's way too many items in the game now for it to ever be balanced. Hats are good though, we have the Steam Market to sell them now!

 

I'd say the TF2 hat strategy has worked for other games, giving the game much, much more publicity. I mean, I almost re-bought Brutal Legend just for the TF2 hair and taunt, and I know a friend who did it just for that.

 

I'd be so happy with it, that i'd do things to it that should never be known by the public.

 

But what hat design shall it be? I dont really like hats that completely dont fit TF2 (Like Deus Ex Nanobalaclava which looks pretty ugly), so it would have to be really good.

 

Yes, give me even more of an incentive to purchase Starbound.
