Bug/Issue Starbound stopped working(opengl 2.0 not found)

    Starbound has suddenly stopped working for me.
    when I try to start it I get:
    "fatal exception caught: OpenGL 2.0 not available."
    Graphics card drivers are updated; reinstalling starbound, and deleting all my mods doesn't fix it.

    the problem appears that my OpenGL driver no longer supports version 2.0 as seen by my
    OpenGL Extensions viewer
