Desert Exploration 1 is my favorite

 

Agh the Arctic Battle music is awesome! Its like an old Final Fantasy game crossed with new styles. I love it!

 

I like Arctic Exploration 1, as well as Arctic Battle 1 a lot, but I also like the weird tentacle planet music...
All the songs are pretty awesome!

Arctic Battle 3 and Forest Battle 2 are freaking amazing. FREAKING AMAZING.

THE MUSIC FROM THE LIGHTING VIDEO IS IN THE GAME!

 

Hey everybody, I'm Curtis Schweitzer, the composer of these tracks. They are indeed the work that I've been doing for Starbound. I've been using Soundcloud as an easy way to share works-in-progress with the developers. We've known for some time that this is publicly viewable, and I figured it was only a matter of time before someone stumbled across them. I'm flattered by all of the positive reactions it has garnered!

That being said, I'm going to go ahead and leave them up for now-- feel free to listen to your heart's content. This is most of the soundtrack (we're currently working on integrating some other cool ideas into the stuff that is posted) that's finished. We would appreciate it if you didn't use SoundCloud hacks/3rd Party downloaders on the site (I'm sure we'll be making an OST available once the game is released).

In any case, feel free to enjoy the music. I'm glad everyone seems to like it!

 

Oh man crystal Exploration 2 is SO SWEET!I'm definitely going to stay on crystal planets to hear that.

 

So, not only is this music incredibly catchy and amazing, but apparently Radiation and Solatrus are also on the music team now.

Starbound soundtrack for soundtrack of the decade. Y/Y?

 

I should clarify my statement-- I meant to state that this is "most of the soundtrack that I've been working on". As you can tell from the front page stuff, it isn't nearly all of the cool stuff they have in store.

 

Looking forward to hearing the rest of the soundtrack when the game comes out Curtis!

 

OMG ocean exploration 1/2 and Crystal exploration 1/2 are awesome...

 

Ohmygod! These songs are so awesome! I am especially happy about the forest background music because this "overworld" music is the most important to me!

 

Do I hear a bit of the Titanic's music in Forest Exploration?
