Starbound server error client package has caused exception

    I've been working on making a starbound server for a couple hours. I've never made a server except for this one I tried to make. I don't know what the problem is. I have some mods downloaded, but that worked fine when i just started the game normally. I would appreciate any help on the subject.

    Please provide a full list of your used mods. Are the mods on the server and client the exact same?

    To be honest i'm not sure if they are the same on the server and client. how would i be able to check that.

    All mods that are used on the client have to be moved manually to the servers mods folder.
    If some mods are missing or the server doesnt know the mods at all you'll get the error you received.

    Simply copy the .pak files from the steamworkshop folders to the servers mods folder.
    The workshop mods are usually located under "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\211820"

    Depending on where you installed steam or set up the game library the path will vary.

    When the server has the exact same mods as the client you are good to go.

    i symlinked the pak files does that work the same or do i need to copy pasted?

    A symlink should work too. With this way you dont need to worry about mod updates.
