Is it possible for Starbound to be available in stores like GameStop etc.? Or maybe a Collectors Edition of the game or something?
Just kidding... the physical era is coming to an end. What should happen, is that you will buy some Steam wallet cards in some store, and redeem that way. Other than that, retail for indie games is probably more of a waste. I can understand merchandise though.
But don't you like having the game case in your hands and staring at the game manual and at the artwork on the back of the case? Or is it just me?
I like it too. These days, I usually get a physical copy of new games I really want. I even got a metal box edition of Dishonored when I pre-ordered it.
Cool! It really feels special when you hold the game itself in your hands and not a digital copy that you can't hold at all.
Yeah. I also have a thing for manuals. Especially ones that go into detail about specific units, skills, concepts, etc. They're good reading.
Why the hell is there no option for both in the poll? I'm all digital but at the same time I have nothing against fancy boxes with games!
I honestly do. Bought physical copies of StarCraft II and it's expansion cause the box art itself is soooo good. But other than that, unless it was some kind of Collector's Edition, there's no need for a physical copy. King Penguin pod speaker anyone?
Bleh, I hate all digital... doesn't make it feel as special. Physical means it's there man, right there where you can see it. Not in the vast wastes of 1's and 0's.
I would be okay with an additional physical copy. My favorite part of a new game is reading its manual in the car on the way home.
