Starbound Radio Station - Soundbound - Live and running - We need DJ's!

I just cant resist posting here... READ THE ENTIRE THREAD before coming with guesses on what this is... and yes it is a failure as the OP have said things in the thread that has long gone past and there been no life signs for this project for an eternity now.

And NO this has NOTHING to do with the developers behind Starbound, nor is it anything officially related to the game. Read up about what a web radio station is and to help you, go look at EVE Radio to get an idea on what it was the OP was planning to launch.

It was all community driven and planned from the beginning by the OP and but he was out WAY to early IMO, as well as lacking the knowledge about what is required to run a station. He have edited his earlier posts so some of the conversation in the thread might seem a bit weird now though.

I got plans for making community content for this game once it gets close to launch, perhaps that might be something down your alley in the way of entertainment goes We will see.

 

Scream, why dont you and Catraxx do a online radio/podcast yourself, seeing as the both of you seem more experienced/motivated as OP

Hahahah, well...this is....slightly...awkward.....
I'm back guys, and with a bang! I am EXTREMELY and I mean EXTREMELY sorry for my absence and lack of work/motivation.

Approximately three months ago, my life went to pieces, I was heavily arguing with my rents and I was unhappy where I was living, and just having a general crap time. So I decided to move out, and I had to get a second job to sustain myself, as well as looking after Creeperhost and myself and my new flat, food, clothes, cooking! The lot! It may seem like a poor excuse to a lot of you, but I can't apologise enough for this.

Everything is back on! It's planning time! I need CV's, I need volunteers, Scream and Catraxx can you pop me an e-mail I'd love to work with you guys and get something sorted out since our knowledge will clash together brilliantly. I will be getting my personal server up and running again, once WrathPheonix has time for this, he'll be getting up to speed with this as well. Still unsure what software to use, I'm sure you'll know better than me.

Thank you for everyone who kept supporting this thread, it means a lot as well. But let's get this started again, and for real now, for when Starbound is released we need to be #1

I may be interested in becoming a streamer. Question though..what types of music will this station be playing? or limited to? I've been uploading a certain genre (various types within the same genre) to youtube for sometime now (600,000+ views & 500+ subs) so I'm fairly certain I could easily come up with tons of music to stream when needed. If possible send me some more details & I'll share a few links to see if this music would be acceptable.

Nothing has been announced or told to the people interested.... I find that this idea will flunk due to people not wanting to participate... I personally think we should do a podcast instead. I would be more inclined to do something then.

 

Relax, we are working on it behind the scenes. We haven't announced anything concrete because there really isn't anything concrete to announce right now. Luke and us are actually discussing radio stuff as we speak. There's a lot of stuff to get settled before we announce anything/get more people involved and it's a slow process, but don't worry. This is still a thing that is happening, even if the thread isn't moving much.

 

I am always relaxed; but enough about me. Its good to see that the main people involved are still just that. Im glad that youve taken the time to clarify what every body was wondering because we only had silence to go off. If Luke needs any more people involved please do not hesitate to contact me through PM. Thank you.

 

I know it's easy to lose heart in a project that is taking a long time. I thank you for your patience.
