Starbound Radio Station - Soundbound - Live and running - We need DJ's!

Hello Starbounders!

We finally have an Alpha version of the Radio Starbound! Code-name SoundBound.

Our main man Nathan will be casting for now, however, we do need people for casting! We've had a lot of interest recently, however the quality is just not up to scratch, and we've got a few of us working on it, but we need more people!

We are happy that everything is going as planned, eventually we'll get the radio onto a website so there is no use of external players, however it is only Alpha!

I wish the best of luck to anyone who decides to take this up, since I'm nowhere near the qualifications necessary for the job. In the mean time, this bump will suffice.

If the requirements are the same, then I'm afraid I can't take you up on the offer. My system is pretty outdated.

 

You would need a shit-hot sound card. And that's it really.

Not exactly volunteer, we are looking for proffesional quality people.
In the long run, you could make quite a bit of money from it.

 

So this is an actual paying gig
Suddenly this is much more professional than I expected
not saying I'm not interested still but this means something quite different than what I thought it was

 

Well. It won't be just one-gig, it's a radio station.
And yes, in the long run however, if it starts getting a lot of listens then you'll have advertisements knocking on your door giving you money to advertise them.....

 

Any particular reason we would need such a high end sound card besides quality?

 

That's the only reason, quality.
5.1 and 8.1 don't have to be high end sound cards, you can get some really good quality ones quite cheap.
You also have to accomodate for people who have good sound systems at home, it's all about accomodating for everybody.

 

In that case I'm not sure my sound card is up to speed
I have an NVIDIA High Definition Audio (beyond this my computer refuses to give information)
My computer is a gaming laptop, and I didn't get the best soundcard for it, choosing to invest in processing power/graphics instead

 

Yours will more than likely be HD Surround sound, since it's a gaming laptop then it will have to be for all the FPS games....your soundcard will be enough...

 

I have a very high quality microphone (I used to have a very popular youtube channel xD) and a pretty nice gaming rig. I also have past experience with online dj'ing when I used to play habbo hotel (long time ago ^_^). Could you possibly PM me an example of the information you're looking for in the CV ? That would be much appreciated
