Starbound Project: How to Pick your Race

I have recently created an unfinished guide that will help players choose which race they should play based on looks and different statistics like racial armour and ship design.

I can't do this all by myself, so I offer you guys to help me.

Play a race and collect every 10 exclusive racial armours. Then take a picture of wearing each one and crop it to a respectable size (background doesn't matter, in fact, I encourage it, but make sure it's the same background every time)

I have the Hylotl Down(And novakids, when released), I need images for:

• Avian
• Apex
• Human
• Floran
• Glitch

Any help will be appreciated.

I'd prefer if all images were taken inside the ship, so the images always match if different people do the same race.

All 10 must be fully worn. If you supply the description and stats it gives, that'll be extremely helpful.

Uh... you don't need to do any such thing OP. A simple google search will bring you all you need to know about all the races.

3 minutes of google and I found a picture with every racial tier armor, a page with stats for every set, and a wiki that describes each race in full.

 

I just picked it based on their looks on char create, I went with Human and Floran girls. Don't really care for the rest of the races, though I may play an avian at some point.

I think we would all rather stick to discovering this on our own.

If you really wanted to know...there is a wiki already lol.

 

I've heard there's this new invention called a wiki page that has all this information already on it. Strange huh?

 

Everything you need is on the wiki, just ask for permissions and give credits i suppose

 

Is it just me or are the floran armor sets the best looking of them all? Epecally their tier 10.

 

The Apex sets just look pitiful compared to the other races.

 

I'd have to agree. Then again, it's the only reason I'd pick Florans instead of being dull and just going for human anyway so perhaps it's a good thing. Human armor just looks.... well... weird.

 

Makes me think of old 60's comics about robots. The bright colors, the random antennas, the visors. Durasteel, Tier 4 human armor looks realistic though.

 

I had a feeling some people would've beat me to it. Ah well...

 

Yeah, the apex armor is just plain lame. i mean, i like the idea of a high tech assassins creed ninja, but when the hylotl tier 10 armor is right above it, it's impossible to say anything nice about it.

 

Personally, my only problem with any of the armors is the helmets. Hylotl tier 10, Avian tier 10, and maybe glitch tier 10 look to large and cartoony. Human tier 6 and 7 look ridiculous, and Apex tier 6 looks creepy. Oh, and human tier 5 has a terrible color scheme.

I recall someone stating Glitch were basically robots with a medieval theme.. I was sold on it.. I like making most of my buildings have a medieval theme (AKA castles and stone brick houses with wooden supports).. I tend to want to use the "counter-tech" of a game's setting.. High-tech weapons in medieval fantasy.. Swords and bows in sci-fi..
