OMG im so excited excited i say in one day ill be playing starbound and recording some of the early beta with my friends
Yay im so excited been waiting for a LOOOONNNGGGGG time and now its here so now i must goto sleep then goto school then come home then download and play
Really excited! I just bought 4 games off the steam sale and sadly, I get bored of them already xD 'cept XCOM. I'll be playing this for a really long time though But I have to take SAT's Saturday Which sucks a buttload.
Since the article date is Dec 3rd and the fact that they said this in the post "So everyone of you who has pre-ordered is going to be playing Starbound in like…a DAY. Insanity." Where the dev team is at it is already the 3rd. Does it possibly mean this will be out tomorrow?
I asked the same thing on facebook and this is what I got "I meant that the 4th is really just a full day away, given that it's the night of the 2nd and it's already the 3rd in a lotta places. The beta release should be at about 10AM PST on the 4th."
I've said it so many times today it's become my new signature - why does the apostrophe in "Let's Play" no longer stand for "Us"? When you segregate a 'special' group of people as "Let's Players", they simply become another media outlet, lost in the noise - defeating the entire purpose and charm of a Let's Play. The LP became a powerful force only because it came organically from players of the games in question. Now, Starbound is merely another Game of the Week for all the viewers of today's high-profile but low-engagement streamers/YouTubers. I would have liked to see the LPs the community would have made. Pity. Still excited for the game! But today was a dick move, and we all lose out on the great video content the community could have generated, trading it for the processed, pasteurized, artificial big-name YouTuber version instead.
