Starbound penguins!

Life will only be complete if I can have a space penguin pet.

I LOVE PENGUINS!! Penguins are gonna be the best part of Starbound... I just wish there was a playable penguin race.

The penguins remind me of Gunther Goontee and all of the other G's that unfortunately work for the Ice King in Adventure Time, so I love them! Can't wait to catch some of my own.

Interesting, can the penguins be domesticated or are there plans for them to be able to be tamed like other creatures?

 

Pinguins are cool. Not only because they live on the North Pole.

It's clearly designed for ranged weapons (hitting it with melee is tough) and ranged weapons won't be largely available in tier 1 if at all. I made it for an upper tier and designed it as such. I wish the i49 one was fully functional so it could be seen how much more crazy it can get. [/quote]
I think it should at least stay at a lower tier. It was fairly easy to take down if you prepared for it. Especially if you cleared out a glitch castle dungeon, and set up there.
Is the Penguin UFO still going to stay as a main boss? or will it be downgraded to a side boss later in development? I really enjoyed that boss fight.

Brilliant use of A.T. I am hoping we can have a penguin pet, I will definitely name him/her Gunther.

Speaking of the penguin boss, it was a really enjoyable fight because I summoned him in a Glitch village where people were mean to me, so he destroyed someone's house, the women ran away and he finally got stuck between some buildings. I just pulled out my crappyaxe and chopped the penguin to death while he couldn't do anything about it.

 

One of the original images posted by Tiy (I think) showed multiple penguin variants. I was under the assumption that they would be available right away, what with having the sprites fleshed out already.

I'm disappointed that I can't have my green cyclops penguin with red wings.
