seriously though, the wait for mods to update is the most painful thing, and it happens every single update...

Ahh. Weird they would do that, but NOT anywhere on the forums... but okay. If they did, then they did.

 

At least you aren't the one who has to update them.

 

Yeah, I've been helping with Frackin'Universe for the past 2-3 weeks. Lots and lots of little things, but our work has paid off because it's about as stable as you're gonna get. Just little quirks here and there, and maybe the rare creature-not-found bug that is usually stamped out pretty quickly, but AFAIK, pretty much 95%+ of the mod works on Unstable right now.

Kawa has said that Felins is ready and I know xbawks already works, so....

I'm happy!

That's 3 out of 4 mods (that just leaves Avali....) that I use that are 1.0 ready.

That's not to say I won't add more mods to the list in the future, but meh.

 

I personally feel like doing a full vanilla playthrough when the update drops since I haven't touched the unstable branch and want find all the new things without mod interference. But to each their own.

EDIT: Not to mention it lets the mods all update by the time I'm ready to reinstall

 

The mod uploader tool is not actually included in that last update. This merely set up the Steam side of things.

And no, copying Unstable's uploader doesn't help.

 

.....weird. I don't see why we would have to download stuff onto our PC just to get the "Steam Side of Things" to work.... shouldn't that (workshop functionality) be a part of Steam Client already?

hmm... i was just thinking. before only the people in nightly or unstable had the new hotbar, and as we saw in the poll, that's not really representative of the entire player base. now that the action bar will be in the stable, how long do you think it will take for dozens of threads to pop up about it?

And dont tell me that wont happen, look at what happened when they re-added touch damage. tons of threads were made about it, despite anyone playing the nightly already knew that it would happen. i think the same will happen with the action bar, and with EVERYONE having it now, there's going to be a ton more people talking about it.
