Starbound Nightly Beta Findings or Interesting Things

I tried the nightly for a bit, but I just couldn't stand the incompleteness of it. I salute thee brave heroes who venture forth and bring news from the very frontier of this game's development.

Hello, my name is linkthegamer *spawns in an FTL repair kit* and this is my job.

 

5. Looks like NPC merchants were fixed. They work for me. This goes for all of them.
Still...Is it normal that NPC merchant spawned via command only sell weapons ?
Also NPC guards spawned via command are hostile towards the player.

That's about all I noticed today.

Today i try to play in this build, and seen falling debris on the planet. I think this from destroyed space station.
I also saw a space station on an asteroid, when looked into the navigation.
It is possible to upgrade the ship on this build? And how?

it seems tonights update broke the game
you cant place items or move then around in your invantory

also it wiped saves but dont tell anyone else outside this thread or its gonna cause a panic

True. Only thing you can do to move items is using shift+click but that isn't satisfying.

There is still some kind of problem with the teleporter. Clicking the icon and "warp to planet" don't work (I have the Matter Manipulator selected). Only way to beam down seems to be marking the planet as home and "warp home".
This problem was present before already. (Last time I checked was Sunday)
Teleporter worked for existing characters but not for new ones. Because of the wipe(?) is basicly not working except for "warp home"

Ship repairs and upgrades don't seem to work.

Good thing this is nightly we're talking about.
(always a good idea to keep a backup)

 

Duh, it works fine for me. But I can't get hit by anything (Never drowning, can jump from like 200 meters, neither monsters or humans.
Edit : Nevermind, can't move items. You're right

 

Type /ruinthefun to disable admin mode

 

Ah, okay... I knew it was a simple thing Shouldn't have directly swapped back to the stable version, have to redownload it again e_e
Also, running backwards is slower in nightly.

 

That is intentional. You try running backwards while holding something in rl.

 

Hm. I did all the commands and used all the items that spawned, quitted and went back, and the ship was still damaged. Same if I wrap to the planet and i go back in the ship.
Did I do that wrong?

 

those dont work anymore as of the newest nightly
they changed how ships upgrade or something
they are working on the AIs

 

Oh well. At least the code for spawning fuel still works!

 

Wait. Am I the only one who has problems with the teleporter (and other mentioned) ?

The shiprepairkits aren't working for me. The Fuel Hatch stays broken.
So what do you mean by spawning fuel ? Does it add automaticly ?

 

It spawns the ore used for fuel. So instead of finding coal you can spawn coal. AT the moment though it seems the build is a bit more broken than usual. Best wait for the next build today.
