    They should remove the pixel cost from ship repair and crafting.

    I found my 4 fibers for the quest by grabbing random vegetables I found around the surface, they sometimes give you one. But vines now only seem to grow deep underground.

    Great, now the game gets stuck on FTL and I can only travel to certain level 5 planets instead of the level 2 ones I'm supposed to go to. (Seems like the same effects as the bug where you would get stuck when travelling to volcanic, magma or ocean biomes but this time I've got it on Moon, Desert and Outpost at least)

    Looks like I'll just wait until they push something to unstable/stable

    Hmm, perhaps this absence of surface caves is to encourage Farming as a way to obtain the vines.

    Based on my experience, the FTL thing happens at random; it's not linked to a specific Biome or planet. Although, I've already figured out WHY it happens; it's a problem with the generation of the target planet's .world files....

    I was watching my Universe folder while I jumped to an unexplored planet and saw how the .world file spawned at 7KB-ish and quickly grew to a 300-ish KBs when I FLT'd successfully to a planet. And, when I FTL'd again, to another unexplored planet, I noticed that the file that had spawned was 0KBs, and never grew up. In this case, I got stuck on the jump....

    I tried the jump 3 more times more, just to be sure, all 3 times got stuck on the travel sequence. Then, I deleted that .world file, and the next time I tried to travel to the same planet, the file spawned with 7KBs, and quickly grew up to 342KBs. This time, I was able to land. Which led me to the following hypothesis:

    This bug is caused by an error in the planet.world file generation; perhaps the game gets stuck on a loop or has a memory leak. And the reason this bug is persistent (if it gets stuck the first time, it ALWAYS get stuck after all when heading for that planet) is because the broken .world file is still there.

    So far, I haven't found a way around it; even if I delete the file, it keeps respawning with 0KBs. Wish someone from the Devs could shed light on what could be the cause of this issue. Because IMHO, with this bug and the sudden underground crash bug fixed, the game would be good enough to be considered AT LEAST as an Unstable patch. Just saying....

    If you're lucky to start on a part jungle (possibly savannah, I can't remember) planet, you have a chance of finding trees that specifically drop plant fibres at the same rate as wood. Which i usually find once I get active travel anyway. It's pretty much any jungle biome. Unless they've changed that. Which I haven't gotten the chance to find a jungle planet.

    Just found a Sewer Mini-Dungeon underground and noticed something unusual; the pipes are invisible. Just as it happened with the plataforms some time ago, you can still mine them and place them, but you can't see them.

    Looks like running across NPCs still crashes this version of the nightly.

    This happens in the log representing the moment an npc is called for, right now.

    Code:
    Error: Exception caught in client main-loop: (VariantException) Improper conversion to VariantList from null
      StarException::StarException(String)
      Variant::listPtr()
      Variant::iterateList()

      Npc::setOfferedQuests(Variant)
      Npc::getNetStates()
      Npc::Npc(NpcVariant, ByteArray)
      NpcDatabase::netLoadNpc(ByteArray)
      EntityFactory::netLoadEntity(EntityType, ByteArray)

    Anyone discovered a non-admin way to progress past the silver pickaxe in the current nightly builds?

    I've managed to mine gold ore, but the furnace isn't showing a gold bar recipe and the anvil isn't showing a gold or platinum pickaxe recipe either.
    I straight up can't mine platinum because the silver pickaxe doesn't support it.

    I think there's an object called Alloy Furnace (or somehow like this), which have recipes for ores up to rubium. However, I'm not sure if we're really able to craft this in latest builds.

    Yes, apparently, the Alloy Furnance is the Upgrade of the Stone Furnance. Just as the Iron Crafting Table is the upgrade of the Wooden Crafting Table.

    Btw, is anyone else getting sudden, unexplained CTDs when exploring the surface of certain planets? I've been having that issue since the last two nightlies. No error messages, no crash logs or anything similar. Just CTD and Nada, nothing, zilch, zip.....

    The most recurrent one happens to me at Gamma Underwood Minoris IV a (X:-31 Y:-10). If I take as much as a single step to the left of the spawning point, I get a sudden crash.

    Is there any chance someone could check out that place for me and see if they're getting those crashes too?

    It seems I found the source of those strange CTDs; it's the one @Kentoz mentions. NPCs crash the game without warning.

    Yet, ironically, the crash I was getting underground all the time now has moved to the surface. Now I can move around the underground freely.

    Btw, has anyone stumbled upon one of those Zen Biomes yet? Because I am really looking for one of those ''Sakura-esque'' trees that are said to always grow on them.

    I found a small one once, but the only cavern in it was flooded and too small for trees. What a waste.

    Oh? Do you have the coords?

  16. Kentoz

    Kentoz Subatomic Cosmonaut

    Sorry, no dice there. I had to delete my world folder to just be able to even play the nightly, so the info's all gone. I'll post co-ords if I find another one.

    Rainbow Dash Oxygen Tank

    its already removed on crafting
    the olny thing it exists for is 3d printer, ship upgrades and (if it didnt crash the game) npc shops

    those are npcs
    when they get loaded in the game crashes

    Well, one thing I noticed is that I couldn't run it. Actually it was probably the first thing I noticed. doesn't make me any less excited for the updates though.

    I hope they really imporve the npcs shop system to make it useful then. Ugh... i dont understand the devs.

    What are they doing to this game....

    I guess im stuck in the whole "its changed now it sucks" mood. I mean, ore loss on death, then no pixel crafting?
    And the enemies are slow as heck and barely put up a fight... surface caves (Which i loved) removed, now planets look boring, coal fricken everywhere, whats the point of it if its always RIGHT THERE. Might as well remove fuel entirely.

    the olny ones i found useless were the clothes ones
    the food ones are cool cus you can stockpile food easly
    and the gun and weapon ones are cool cus they can be rare to find
