Starbound Merchandising?

Is ChuckleFish ever going to sell any Starbound-related merchandise?
I would do anything for this poster of Big Ape.

Anyway besides the Big Ape posters, there could be Dreadwing figurines and stuff.
I think people would love to buy some extra Starbound things. Thoughts?

We probably won't get merchandise for a while yet. I would hazard a guess that we won't for at least an update or two.

That said, considering most of what I do ingame is mixing and matching dresses for my characters, it might be fun someday to get a figurine of my character and dress her up with clothes I find ingame.

 

I still believe that starbound should have DLC.
Like anime reskins for certain objects, Armor for the Glitch AI, also instant access to all the best items. if i may make a suggestion on the price, i would set it as 4.99 each

But yeah, I think that if the game shapes up to be anything like they plan for it to be I would get a little Dreadwing plush to keep my Tux one company.

Please, no DLC. DLC nowadays is totally going out of hand.
Wouldnt mind expansions, like in the good old days, where you bought another CD for Command and Conquer, and got a (nearly) full game as addon.
But the practice i see for every single bit of stuff to be sold as DLC somewhat p*sses me off ;D

As for merchandise: Is there any "iconic" monster, race, thing for Starbound? (As the Creeper for example was for Minecraft).

Wouldnt mind a Floran plushy though, if i had money ;D (and it wont sssstab me), or a Glitch figure-thing

Would you be against purely cosmetic 'useless' DLC for Starbound, like TF2 hats?

We already know they're going to release DLC. They'll just call them "content patches" and probably won't charge for them.

 

Imho, this wouldnt fit for a game like Starbound. There are some games, where purely cosmetic stuff may fit, like League of Legends back when i played it.
Besides, a game as moddable as SB, nothing would keep people from distributing these cosmetic changes via more.. err.. shady.. means, so i would somewhat doubt the financial success of said cosmetic DLC.
(Not that i would encourage something like this.)
If on the other hand, there were meaningful expansions, as for example, ship-combat with added progression means, or space stations with research, this might be a whole different story. (Even though i would hope that this would be free upgrades for everyone, because, well, who doesnt like free addons?)
