You're right, alot of people are missing out. That's too bad though.
I wish I could have like a twitter account or something with so much followers just so I could double that amount of $ on the preorder page.
They have made so much for me come true, I wish them nothing but the very best in life.

    Dear MessiahDJ,

Your story is so touching. I am so sorry for you.
I just can wish you a good luck and for your mother to become better soon.
I don't know exactly about your bullying situation, but want to give you a piece of advice - do not get very arrogant, but remember: the bullies are no better than you.
It is just a coincidence that they can bully you. They have nothing to do with you and you just shouldn't take that thing seriously.
You don't need them - the world is full of other wonderful people you just didn't meet yet.

It is so great that you found some inspiration.

You're a stronger person than most (myself included) to not only pull through that, but be willing to share it with people too. If the community had even the slightest part of cheering you up, I feel privileged to be able to contribute towards it. If you ever need to let off some steam and want someone to listen, feel free to send me a message. :D

And btw, your english is fine. You don't have to worry about making yourself look like a fool. :)

wow man - that sucks soooo bad. I would be completely devistated if that were to happen to me - that would turn my whole life upside-down. While I am not in your shoes I completely sympathize with you... I think it is awesome that you and your mom are going to be playing this game together - I am ALWAYS trying to get my mom to play some PC games with me but she is stingy with her time and only plays pokemon or her farmville on facebook :( Anyways you have a right to feel depressed man, and if it becomes unbareable just talk to your mom - thank god you still have her at least - give her a huge hug man - because you never know when your time with her will be your last.

It's even more touching to read things like these, no need to feel sorry though :)
You're right - there are a whole lot of cool and friendly people around, a lot of them are here on the forum I think!
Thank you for the kind advice!

I will remember that offer, is there a friend function on here?
I'm a very chatty guy and I love to meet new people!
Thank you for the nice words Tardisphere, they all mean a lot to me!

This has been one of the roughest moments of my life, things were more than just upside down. I got confused and all kinds of thoughts rushed trough my head.
It's because of this game and the motivation it gave me, the book that brought me here and everything else in this place that I got better.
I'll give her a hug as soon as I can, she's in bed now! Thanks!

Just wanted to say that I have been through (well, am going through would be more accurate) some severe depression. It's an entirely different situation than yours, and I'm not trying to belittle your post (so, moving on..)

If you ever want to talk or anything, just hit me up. Glad to hear you're making a recovery!

Whatever the cause is, feeling horrible, empty and having a complete lack of direction is one of the worst things that could happen to someone.
Same goes to you friend, I hope all will get better soon! I'm sure someday it will!

    Great story.

Also, you're Dutch? I actually could tell! Your English is actually very good, however, knowing a few Dutch people, I can tell if somebody is Dutch by the way they write. :p

 Such a great story. Not going to hijack with a "me too" story but video games have helped me get through a lot of tough times as well as bringing me closer to family. Its like when you get depressed and stop thinking about the future, knowing a video game is on the horizon can provide something to focus on and keep you thinking about what comes next instead of focusing on your current situation.

I might sound like a douche in case this is not on your mind right now, but I sincerely hope that your positive train of thoughts will pull through, so you'll be able to step back into life. It would be great if StarBound could be that first push in the right direction.
    Verder uiteraard het beste toegewenst.

There is no way for me to ever express my emotions to how I feel right now after reading your thread

Wish my family/friends would play with me these kind of games, but my family won't play and my "friends" in school won't play almost anything that's not downloaded free or something like.

WITH THAT IN MIND WE ALL AGREE THAT:

I understand the sort of things your family and yourself must have went through, having lost my father in a car accident/hit and run last year at the start of January. Can't say that it scarred me much, but having crushed relatives around you does sting.

Best of luck, you and your mum better keep on being happy and enjoy Starbound. ;)
