Hi as the title says Starbound is setting its self to "High Priority" in the task manager.

This isn't a good idea as on lower spec systems this will cause major problems with other programs including windows systems, Starbound should be set to normal like all other programs.

    Steps to reproduce / verify

    1) Start Starbound
    2) Start task manager
    3) Go to processes
    4) Right click the Starbound process and look under priority

    System information

    Windows 8.1 X64
    AMD FX-9590 @ 4.72
    16gb DDR3
    Nvidia 680

We know that is occurs under Windows 7 SP1 X64 and XP SP3 and has some effect with the USB Mics needing to be disabled and enabled (one our server members had the mic problem and after forcing Starbound back to normal they haven't had a problem in 9 hours solid play, they were having the issue ever 10-15 minutes)

This causes a lot of problems, including poor game performance on my system. When I crank the priority down, I get both a better frame rate and no input lag, which I have otherwise.

I can confirm this on Windows 8.1 as well, although for my high-end machine, it produces no difference in what setting I use.

You're experiencing this on the current patch? (Enraged Koala Hotfix#5)

That is correct. The launcher is set to Normal, but the game itself is not, it is set to High.

    Strange. I documented it.

It still occurs in unstable by the way.
