are these being converted correctly for starbound's limitations on ABC?

 

Absolutely no way to tell until we can actually play the game unfortunately.

Edit: That is of course unless someone who can play before tomorrow (or a dev) does us a solid and tests them.
Edit2: This also applies for almost any song you find in ABC format.

 

When the game properly releases and I know whether or not I have to limit it to poly-playing on one channel (Can we have the eight fingers ABC limits us to, or is it too much?) then I'll see about "properly" converting them. I am not entirely sure so I'm just smashing files from various filetypes into ABC format. I will begin work on all these songs posted since my hiatus.

Pardon my ignorance, i've been searching high and low on google to how to actually ADD the ABC files into starbound, I cannot find any folder or file in my computer that holds this magical folder, could you tell me how?

also... power rangers? Heavy Metal version if you can

 

I'm curious. How are you composing these? I've tried a few midi to abc converters and they sound fine in a abc player but sound like utter crap in game.

Edit: Btw it seems some of your songs crash Starbound and also sound off as well.

 

Go into your Steam folder>steamapps>common>Starbound>assets>songs


EDIT: Some of these songs don't really work well, at least not on my flute, and UN Owen Was Her outright crashed the game, which i guess was to be expected.

NUMEROUS songs crash the game or will not play because of the means by which starbound reads ABC files. I'll begin revising the files so they don't do this. In the meantime, use the wake-up trumpet call, Nekonin!, Midna's desperate hour, and surfin' bird. They all work fine, although surfin' bird has a number of flats that simply aren't read correctly.
