Can't believe I just noticed this thread. If you're still taking requests (sorry if you've announced otherwise, I haven't scanned through the entire thread), then I have one.



The Ballad of Serenity, otherwise known as the theme song to Firefly. The video I've linked is the extended version of the song, but if you'd rather use the more condensed version, that's perfectly understandable. I'd just simply love it if I was able to play this jewel while on my intergalactic travels, and I (and I'd assume others as well) will certainly be making use of it once Novakids are implemented.

Tested in-game on a bass, and it seemed to work, at least as far as I could tell. Feel free to do your own rendition though, if you so desire.

Can you do Running Hell/Curly's Theme from Cave Story?

 

I was wrong, it isn't fixed. The files don't seem to work on my system. I found some suitable replacements but yeah... not sure why they kill the game.

 

It seems Starbound doesn't like formatting in the files. There is a program called Maestro and it translate midi files to abc files. Lotro used abc files and so there are sites out there with songs. All of those seem to work, but I was watching a streamer convert a song and those weren't working as they should, but still play without crashing.

 

Man this is so frustrating. I have a temporary fix but it isn't perfect. I don't know enough about ABC for a proper solution but... I'll share this.

Opening the ABC file with notepad to edit it. Add or Edit the line "L: 1/8" and double the line "Q: NumberHere". For example : Q: 120 to Q: 240. This gets the song to play ok but it'll make certain notes play more than normal than the notes being held. Like I said... sounds ok on some songs and other's it's too noticeable.

Hopefully someone will have a better solution.

Can you do Vi's theme from league of legends? I got a gp5 file of it and a .mid file that I cant convert to midi, yes I am aware they are the same but the .mid isn't working

Could you please make some abc files of Don't say Lazy, Go! Go! Maniac! or Fuwa Fuwa Time from the anime K-On? I tried to convert a midi file to abc with an editor and all seemed to be fine, but they sound shit in game

Edit: I have changed it so that it no longer crashes the game. Sorry if you experienced this. The problem was in the 'å' in the title.

Edit(again):
The B notes seem to sound a bit wrong with some instruments. They are half a tone too low, but I can't do anything about it since there are no ebony tangents above the B, only below. Sorry if the end sounds a bit wierd.
