Starbound: Dropship.

This is the Dropship. Not to be confused with the Space Station.
You use the Dropship to travel to planets, and you can also use it as an basement while playing (This means that you can go to it while in planets, do whatever you need to do it in, then go back to planet)





You can build on it and customize it up to a level.
You can also upgrade it so that it becomes bigger. (There probably will be more upgrades types. Maybe you can even upgrade cannons and use them to do the so famous orbital strike?) << Not Confirmed.

I hope you will be able to put cannons on it and use them to orbital strike planets.
Also in the first image you see wiring.
And Star Map you see in second image is still WIP, and it will be even more awesome later on.

You cant teleport to the Dropship while on the underground.

waaaaait, would that mean you could just chill there in the time your house would get ganged like nighttime terraria/ bloodmoon? or are you ganged like that the whole day and night?

 

3 different monsters per biome, right? Must be the case, since each layer underground (basically underground biomes) may have different monsters.

 

Not all monsters are aggresive. There are some passive, like that dog-like things they showed in livestream.

 

i know that, but i wonder if you would get ganged sometimes by monsters , otherwise i really ain't making a good house as i have no use for it except to store things there.

 

In Tiy Livestream some monsters charged agaisnt him, and they could jump over platforms. Im pretty sure that there are monsters that will be able to open/pass/break though your door/floor/roof/walls.

Really glad to hear this! I wonder what the Floran ship will be like, I love the idea of massive, hollow space-trees.

 

I would suspect (or perhaps speculate) that the mobs that can open doors and what not will be bipedal. The ones from the feed today were quadrupeds and, why they maybe could figure out how to open a door, I think they would simply break it down, especially if it is some simple wooden construct.

This. Great Odin's raven this. I want to see some art work for the dropships and ships in general.

 

Unfortunately they've already said that Floran ships are scavenged/reverse engineered from other races. Think more Reavers (firefly) than organic ships.

 

Maybe Reavers with flowers that would be neat.

 

So warships covered in blood and gore and inhabited by psychos. I find myself ok with this.

 

Maaaaybe. Though from the lore that was discussed it doesn't sound like they're THAT kind of violent, more callous than cruel.
