it wouldnt decrease pirating.. a demo is a dumb idea. its 15$. people can learn all they need from videos and streams to know whether they want the game or not.

    Yeah, it would reduce pirating.
If I still had my laptop, a demo would make me not pirate the game.
I'm sure others would play the demo instead of pirating as well.

I agree with Zangoose it would HIGHLY decrease pirating
almost half of the people who pirate games only pirate it to try it out then end up buying it because they like it so much

and i HONESTLY HATE IT when people don't have demos for a game i might want to buy... only on PC though because i never know if my PC can run it or not consoles is a different story

Pirating is the demo, so hah! But in all seriousness, a real demo should be considered for full release (like the i49 version), if the devs can hash one out in a timely fashion. But anytime in the near future? Nice try.

People always like trying something out before they buy it, and this way players can just link their friends to a small demo that'll download in like ten minutes as a way of convincing someone to buy the full game.
I know I'd hate wasting money on something even though I read all the great reviews and watched the nice trailer, only to get into game and be utterly disappointed, whether it's $5 or $50. $15 can be a lot for some people.

Besides, if you have to pirate to get a feel for the game, some people will end up just continuing to play the pirated version anyway.
