Closed Starbound BETA: Bugs Database LU 8.29.14 (Not for nightly)

Toxictop plants drop two seeds: one normal and one that when planted instantly becomes fully grown.

 

I confirm. It happens with any or almost any plant.

 

I found an issue with chests - only got a few blue tech ones so far, every time I place one of the chests on-board my ship it rolls new contents. Its like a lucky dip of infinite loot!

 

- Lack of name other than <todo> on tree saplings.
- Seeds sometimes sprouting full grown plants instead of going through stages.
- Instruments crashing game when attempt to play.
- Monsters flashing and not dying, but no longer attacking.
- Chests spawn more loot when picked up and placed again.

Confirming having seen all these bugs happen with new version.

But I love the new gravity and weather effects! Everything that keeps planets from getting redundant is a good thing. Bless you guys for making modding a bit easier, too.

 

I visited a "forest" planet that was 90% snow (with poison water).

 

Confirming the following bugs:

Some seeds instantly grow into the crop when planted. This can be done continuously because the harvested seed has the same property.
Placing some chests spawns more random loot inside of it. This can be done continuously. Whether the contents were removed or not before picking up the chest doesn't matter. Only tested with blue tech chests.

 

I have not heard anything new on this problem, because apparently, everyone seems to think that the teleporting issue means the planet is "still loading", but I'm going to say it again;

The teleporting issue, the one where you tele but it keeps putting you right back on your ship, is still an issue for me. After idling for 30 minutes to go afk and coming back to tele and it puts me right back on the ship can NOT be because the planet is still "loading". I know that it says the issue is fixed per OP's little color codes in the bug sections, but it isn't fixed. Some times, upon spawning in, I can teleport down right away, no issue. Other times, I've been on my ship for a good 15-30 minutes putting stuff away, go to teleport, and it puts me right back to the ship. Yesterday, I hit the teleport button 15, 15! times before it finally put me on the planet, and this was after being on my ship over a planet for about 45 minutes as I was organizing crates.
So, are you going to tell me the planet was "still loading"? =)

 

There are a type of old chests that stack up to three and everytime I place them they keep spawning stuff inside them. They look just like normal old chests ,couldn't see any difference. This I think has the potential to be game breaking as you can just mine those chests for ever , I even got diamonds.

 

Since the update (December 23rd), some monsters stay alive after death and have no health bar.


When playing an orcania, and selecting the song "wish you a merry christmas" game client crashed.

 

Playing an instrument will crash your game. [Update 23/12/2013[

 

- Dont know why but after Angry Koala update game run on my old laptop [Core 2 Due 2.1, 3 GB RAM, Nvidia 9600M GS, all driver updated] much slower. Before work perfectly.
- Instruments (Ocarina) crashing game when click play.
- Ship teleport bug - need to use it many times to be teleported on planet (but sometimes work perfectly on first use)

When using my old character, I can't land. There's no fuel, no warp button or planet beneath the ship.
All the ship has been wiped, and the game crashes when the ~navigation thing~ is opened.

 

this has happened to me a few times too.

 

I thought that hotfix a couple hours ago fixed the infinite loot chest bug. I found a tech chest and could not replicate the bug. However, later I found a Glitch chest that was bugged.

 

it seems to be mainly the glitch ones and avian bookcases from what ive seen

 

i confirm the plant bug with trees insta growing also in the inventory the sapling stacks (listed as todo)
wont stack properly but in clusters based on the groups collected at one time
e.g 20 collected then 43 then 56 but cant combine these stacks (yes they are the same trees)

 

Ive just updated the game and as soon as i teleport down to home or planet i instantly take damage and die. happens every time.

 

Anytime I try to play a song with my lead guitar starbound crashes. I used the preloaded songs and downloaded others from http://www.lotro-abc.com

 

ground enemies killed with the Dangerous Killthunker occasionally blink and move around indefinitely and cannot me be interacted with
