If the idiots of Zandronum can figure it out, so can the Starbound community.

Massively hindering the ability to keep track of how this game is broken/what could be done to make it better because some users can't figure out how to fill out a form is a horrible trade-off.

Edit: Anyway, if I were to be given SSH access to an official web server, I would be willing to set up a bugtracker for Starbound and maintain it. I'd probably use MantisBT because it's what I'm familiar with.

MantisBT does everything Github Issues does and more, save pull requests. If you aren't on Github and have access to web servers (both of which are true here), there really is no reason to use Github Issues.

You can actually do that with nearly any type of water. I noticed it with the murky purple/blue "water" that isn't poisonous. If it isn't blue, you can put torches in it.

The idea was meant to avoid:
    A ) The overhead of having to maintain a self-hosted bug-tracker
B ) The overhead of having to maintain a MySQL/PostgreSQL database
    C ) Wasting resources time/money/bandwidth on a custom server

It's fast/easy to get up and running and costs nothing to maintain.

There are benefits/costs to hosting a custom bug tracker. I host Jira for my own projects, but for a community driven bug tracker, it's more reliable to use something as widely-used as Github and covers most use-cases needed.

    EDIT: Removed unintentional smiley.

Hi, this is my first post.

Couldn't find a defined subforum to post a bug so maybe this post is the right place. (Feel free to move it if I am wrong).

The plants keep growing in the spaceshipand they get over the roof (see image below)

Hope it helps and hope it is not posted still.

    Bye!

Indignant Koala patch, Glitch doors don't make any sound, and I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but the Glitch Furnace which is described as used for tempering tools has the Cooking GUI and capabilities.

Oh well, noticed this a while ago and forgot to mention.

In windowed mode, The detail window of objects just do not consider the window or screen resolution as the max area where to draw. The result is details windows often impossibile to read unless you move the items in a location with enough space to the right-bottom.

Example image at the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/59kws62e06mqcv2/Screenshot 2013-12-13 22.36.02.png

    PS
I deeply agree about the community bug tracker. Both for us and for developers.

    Just my 2 cent.
I think Alucard is doing a great job. Maybe will be easier for him and for the developers to have a bug tracker instead of the first post.

I'm available to help too, if needed.
A group if willing user should just report bugs from here to the bug tracker and mark them as "draft".
These bugs could be formatted and categorized later on.

I suppose this should be a better organisation instead of an "anyone can post a bug".

Of course this thing can be done even without the help of Alucard but I think that should be nice if you're involved due to your initiative.
The only thing needed is a group of users. This is not a work for a single man imho.

For a community-run bugtracker, Github Issues would be fine. If it were official (as I was suggesting), the cost, storage, and maintenance requirements are either nil or insignificant when you factor in that Chucklefish already has their own web server (if you doubt this, take a very close look at where you are). Legal issues could be entirely avoided, and in return you would get complete control over the bugtracker, as well as not have to worry about what those other people are doing. It might even be possible to integrate forum and tracker accounts, depending on how they're stored.

I've never heard of Jira before, but seeing as you have to pay for it, I'm probably not going to be playing around with it any time soon.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but when trying to beam yourself from your ship down to the planet below it sometimes takes you back to the ship sometimes up to 4 times I'm not sure if this is a error client based or a game code/mechanic error. I don't know if I'm right but it could be that the game has an error while rendering the planet this would explain the lag that happens when I finally manage to get to the planet. (Note: My computer is not terrible so I doubt that a factor)

When you smelt ores, it doesn't allow you to smelt the last one - For example, say I smelt 6 iron ore, it won't allow me to smelt the sixth, and I'll end up with one ore and five bars.

If you have a pool of water surrounded by sand or gravel and you disturb the sand or gravel, the water drains out and disappears. This does not appear to be a designed affect.

My game just crashed after selecting Single Player. I was able to launch the game but oddly there was no sound. I ignored it and pressed Single Player and got this error code:
    • Access violation detected at 0x6c9aae1a (Read of address 0x7f733438)
I've never encountered this error and have always been able to start the game with no problems after I get to the main menu. My system specs are as follows:
    Windows 7
Intel core i5 3.00Ghz quad core
    8gigs memory
    AMD Radeon HD 6670

I hope I gave enough info to sort it out.

If gravel is disturbed and coal or ore is within the gravel and the gravel covers up the resources, those resources are lost - especially if they go off screen.

We found a "Bug/Glitch" to the Tier3 Boss.

As you can see on the attached image - we war able to avoid any dmg from it.
We alreadry prepared a (space-invaders)-"fighting arena" but it was useless in that case.

The guy on the left stand in this screenshot not correct.
On these way the Dragon shoot over your head and is not able to hit you.

Reproducable ? (need more than 1 player)

    Sincerely yours,
