Closed Starbound BETA: Bugs Database LU 8.29.14 (Not for nightly)

Tested the bubble gun crash post recent patch (indignant koala) and it still crashes the game. As soon as I open chest and mouse over the item.

 

I had a power outage and it made everything crash. When i logged back in my toon was not there. she was deleted. Bad part too is i had just gotten an awsome weapon at that. :/

 

IMPORTANT FRIENDLY FIRE!

Apparently Rocket Launchers (or possibly only specific ones) can harm other players.

 

The game still runs in super slow motion for me. Windows 7 x64 on steam. Like I'm trying to run battlefield 4 on max settings.

 

Some ores don't refine in the refinery
titanium and aegisalt are examples, but diamond does work...

 

Not sure if this is a bug.

 

The player's weapon can't attack enemies through walls, but if it spawns a projectile on the other side of the wall that projectile can still hit enemies.

When in the starship, clouds on the planet may visibly jerk back and forth at random intervals.

 

A very minor one, but the eyes flicker on your character while you sleep. This MIGHT be a Floran only thing, as that's the only race I've played so far, I'll get back on it when I try the other races~!

 

First one happened to a friend, not me, but I was hosting, (which I finally was able to get to work) so... he beamed down to a planet to discover it had only partly loaded:



Later, I came across a Glitch house here the door had spawned below the ground, so you couldn't enter without digging:


Not game breaking and you could get in by digging a bit, but still... there should be some way to ensure that doors are logically placed. the back door wasn't a whole lot better, though at least it could open:

 

Some merchants can be found with no clothing, resulting in them not having anything for sale.

NPC related stuffs

Not sure if it is a bug or intended, but found a group of 3 floran merchants in the wild with no items for sale. This is on a new character.

 

Unconfirmed, but:

It may be possible for baby creatures to inadvertently be selected as minibosses.

 

RAINBOW CHEST is eaten by the 3d printer

 

dunno if bug or what had a monster kill a guard in a glich town i found and the gaurd dropped a 265 dps axe . and this was on a level 1 planet

 

When swinging a weapon, the slash effect is visually behind the player.

If you are smelting something in a furnace on your ship and go planetside, the smelting operation will sometimes become paused and must be manually restarted upon returning to your ship.

You cannot crouch while underwater, even if standing on the bottom.

 

Sometimes, beaming down to a planet warps you only from your ship to your ship. The problem sometimes goes away if you try beaming repeatedly. (Category: client)

I can reproduce this as well.

 

I have 1 more point of armor than I should. (Goggles are 2 armor, default shirt and pants are 0 armor each)

Projectile-firing melee weapons can still launch their projectiles past solid obstacles.


The Hunting Knife is a 1-handed weapon now, but it's still the size of a 2-handed weapon. Also, it's much more powerful than the standard anvil-made 1-handed sword, despite having the exact same cost in materials. Dual-wielding these gigantic things is one of the most effective ways to get around on the starting planet.

 

On moon planets there's some artifacting in the background layers. Horizonal black lines flicker in and out. I didn't manage to get a screenshot due to the flickering.
